Մարտի 30-ին ՀՀ կառավարության նիստում քննարկվեց և հավանության արժանացավ Սյունիքում՝ ԻԻՀ սահմանագծին, ազատ տնտեսական գոտի ստեղծելու մասին որոշումը։
Սյունիքի մարզում ազատ տնտեսական գոտու գործարկումը կնպաստի արդյունավետ տրանսպորտալոգիստիկ և արդյունաբերական հաբի ստեղծմանը, մարզի սոցիալ-տնտեսական զարգացմանը, կխթանի արտասահմանյան կապիտալի ներհոսքը ՀՀ, կնպաստի ԻԻՀ հետ տնտեսական կապերի ամրապնդմանը, ՀՀ տնտեսական ներուժի առավել արդյունավետ օգտագործմանը:
ԱՏԳ ընդհանուր տարածքը կկազմի մոտ 32 հա։ Ծրագրի իրականացումը ենթադրում է փուլային սկզբունք: Առաջին իսկ տարում նախատեսվում է շուրջ 3 մլն ԱՄՆ դոլարի ներդրում կազմակերպչի կողմից, որի արդյունքում կստեղծվեն նվազագույն անհրաժեշտ ենթակառուցվածքները և հնարավոր կլինի արդեն այս աշնանը մեկնարկել ԱՏԳ-ի գործունեությունը։


Սյունիքի մարզում ազատ տնտեսական գոտին ստեղծվում է պետություն-մասնավոր հատված համագործակցության բանաձևով։ Պետության մասնակցությունը ծրագրի իրականացմանը լրացուցիչ ազդակ կհանդիսանա ԱՏԳ-ում գործունեություն իրականացնելու համար հետքրքրված ընկերությունների համար։
Սյունիքում ազատ տնտեսական գոտին կընդգրկի թույլատրված ոլորտների բավականին լայն շրջանակ։ Ազատ տնտեսական գոտու գործունեության ընթացքում ակնկալվում է ներգրավել մինչև 120 շահագործողների՝ հիմնականում օտարերկրյա, որոնց համախառն ներդրումները կկազմեն շուրջ 350-400 մլն ԱՄՆ դոլար և որոնք կարտահանեն միջին տարեկան շուրջ 100 մլն դոլարի արտադրանք և գործունեության տարիների ընթացքում կստեղծեն 2500-ից ավելի նոր աշխատատեղեր: Շահագործողների ներգրավման համար թիրախային ուղղություններն են ԵԱՏՄ երկրները, Իրանը և Մերձավոր Արևելքը, ԵՄ երկրները:
