«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.
Մեր հյուրն է Ամերիկայի հայկական համագումարի տարածաշրջանային տնօրեն Արփի Վարդանյանը
– ԱՄՆ նոր վարչակազմն ի՞նչ քաղաքականություն է որդեգրել Հարավային Կովկասի նկատմամբ: Կողմնորոշումներն արդեն տեսանելի՞ են:
– Ոչ, դեռ շատ վաղ է խոսել այդ մասին: Այժմ օրակարգում շատ ավելի գլոբալ հարցեր են: Բացի այդ, Թրամփի 100 օրը դեռևս չի ավարտվել: Այս ընթացքում մենք փորձում ենք աշխատել այդ ուղղությամբ, գործի դնել մեր կապերը:
– Ադրբեջանը գոհունակություն էր հայտնել Թիլլերսոնի` պետքարտուղարի պաշտոնում նշանակվելու առիթով ` նկատի ունենալով նրա` որպես նավթագազային ընկերության ղեկավարի նախկին կապերը այդ երկրի հետ: Թիլլերսոնի անցյալը կարո՞ղ է երաշխիք լինել, որ նա կվարի ադրբեջանամետ քաղաքականություն:
– Չէի ասի, թե երաշխիք կլինի: Մյուս կողմից էլ` ի՞նչ իմանաս` ուրիշ ի՞նչ երաշխիքներ կամ երաշխավորողներ կան, որ կարող են հակառակ ուղղությամբ աշխատել: Կարծում եմ` նա թույլ չի տա, որ անցյալի կապերն ազդեցություն ունենան իր վրա: Միաժամանակ մենք էլ հենց դրա համար կանք, որպեսզի հետևենք, հարկ եղած դեպքում արձագանքենք:
– Իսկ ԱՀՀ–ը կապեր հաստատե՞լ է Թրամփի աշխատակազմի հետ: Ինչպե՞ս եք պատկերացնում համագործակցությունը:
– Իհարկե, կապեր հաստատել ենք: Աշխատակազմի հետ հանդիպումներ արդեն եղել են: Եվ մենք պատկերացնում ենք, որ մեր համագործակցությունը պետք է գնալով ամրանա, հաճախակիանա:
– Հայկական լոբբին ի՞նչ շանսեր ունի այս վարչակարգի օրոք:
– Դեռ վաղ է ասել:
– Մոտենում է ապրիլի 24–ը: Թրամփը թերևս միակ նախագահի թեկնածուն է եղել, ով նախկինում չի խոսել ցեղասպանության մասին: Դուք կամ մյուս հայկական կառույցներն այս ուղղությամբ աշխատանք տանո՞ւմ եք: Կամ գոնե գիտե՞ք, թե նա ինչ դիրքորոշում ունի այդ հարցում:
– Գուցե որոշակի դիրքորոշում ունի, բայց այդ մասին չի բարձրաձայնել: Այնպես չէ, որ որևէ հայի հետ ծանոթ չէ: Անձամբ գիտեմ հայերի, ովքեր ծանոթ են նրա հետ: Բացի այդ, Թրամփի աշխատակազմում կան մարդիկ, ովքեր հայ են: Ուստի վստահ եմ, որ լսել է ցեղասպանության մասին: Բայց դիրքորոշման մասին ոչինչ չգիտեմ:
– Հայկական հարցերով հանձնախումբը Ներկայացուցիչների պալատում նամակ է պատրաստել ուղղված Թրամփին` Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը պատշաճ կերպով հիշատակելու համար: Հայ դատի գրասենյակն աշխատում է այս ուղղությամբ: Ամերիկայի հայկական համագումարը նույնպե՞ս ներգրավված է այդ աշխատանքներում:
– Այո: Հաճախ, երբ հանդիպում ենք կոնգրեսականների կամ սենատորների հետ, հենց նման հարցեր ենք քննարկում: Նաև հավելեմ, որ Ցեղասպանության մասին նոր ֆիլմը` «Խոստումը» արդեն Կոնգրեսում ցուցադրվել է: Սա շատ կարևոր է: Գուցե եղել են մարդիկ, ովքեր ընդհանրապես չեն իմացել այդ մասին, ու ֆիլմը դիտելուց հետո տպավորվել են ու իրենց ստորագրությունը կդնեն այդ նամակի տակ: Սա քաղաքական հարց չէ: Սա ոչ դեմոկրատների, ոչ հանրապետականների հարց է: Սա ողջ աշխարհի խնդիրն է: Եվ նման ֆիլմը կարող է միացնել մարդկանց:
