Նախագահը ընդունել է Եվրոպական խորհրդարանի պատգամավորների պատվիրակությանը

Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանն այսօր ընդունել է ս.թ. ապրիլի 2-ին կայանալիք ՀՀ խորհրդարանական ընտրությունների ընթացքում դիտորդական առաքելություն իրականացնելու նպատակով Հայաստան ժամանած Եվրոպական խորհրդարանի պատգամավորների պատվիրակությանը: Հանրապետության Նախագահը ողջունել է հյուրերին, որոնցից ոմանք, Նախագահի խոսքով, նախկինում եղել են Հայաստանում, ծանոթ են մեր երկրում տեղի ունեցող իրադարձություններին, բարեփոխումների ընթացքին:
Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ Նախագահի աշխատակազմի հասարակայնության և տեղեկատվության միջոցների հետ կապերի վարչությունից, Նախագահն ընդգծել է վաղը կայանալիք ընտրությունների կարևորությունը Հայաստանի և նրա քաղաքացիների համար` նշելով, որ այդ ընտրությունների արդյունքում ձևավորվելու է խորհրդարան, որը գործելու է պետական կառավարման նոր՝ խորհրդարանական համակարգի պայմաններում:
Սերժ Սարգսյանը և ԵԽ պատգամավորներն անդրադարձել են ընտրությունների նախապատրաստական փուլում իրականացված ծավալուն աշխատանքին, այդ թվում՝ նոր Ընտրական օրենսգրքի ընդունմամբ ընտրական գործընթացների կատարելագործմանը, օրինականության վերահսկման հստակ մեխանիզմներ սահմանող դրույթների ամրագրմանը, որով զրուցակիցների համոզմամբ, լավ հիմքեր են ստեղծվել ընտրությունները միջազգային բարձր չափանիշներին համապատասխան անցկացնելու համար: Հանրապետության Նախագահը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել Եվրոպական միությանն այդ աշխատանքներում Հայաստանին ցուցաբերած զգալի աջակցության համար:
Կողմերը երկուստեք կարևորել են դիտորդական առաքելությունների կողմից մասնագիտական բարձր որակով իրականացվելիք աշխատանքը՝ հավասարակշռված, բացառապես փաստերի վրա հիմնված և անկողմնակալ մոտեցումը ընտրությունների դիտարկման ամբողջ գործընթացում:
Հանդիպմանն անդրադարձ է եղել նաև Հայաստան-Եվրոպական միություն հարաբերություններին և համագործակցությանը: Հյուրերի խնդրանքով Նախագահ Սարգսյանը ներկայացրել է Հայաստանի արտաքին և ներքին քաղաքականության առաջնայնությունները, ԼՂ հիմնախնդրի կարգավորման գործընթացը և այդ գործընթացում հայկական կողմի մոտեցումները:
