«Հայտնի է, որ քաղցի զգացողությանն ուղեկցող ագրեսիան գոյատեւման մեխանիզմ է, - ասում է հետազոտության հեղինաը, - ուղեղին հասնող գլյուկոզայի քանակը կրճատվում է երբ մենք ոչինչ չենք ուտում: Այդ ցուցանիշը չափազանց կարեւոր է, քանի որ շաքարի չափազանց ցածր մակարդակի դեպքում մեր ուղեղը սթերսի հորմոն է արտադրում: Երբ մարդու ուղեղը քաղցած է, ապա նույնիսկ ամենահասարակ գործ անելը կամ նույնիսկ մարդկանց հետ հասարակ շփվումը շատ դժվարանում է»:
