Պաշտպանության նախկին նախարար Սեյրան Օհանյանի քաղաքական հայտնը մնում է չպատճառաբանված, հարյուրավոր ու նույնիսկ հազարավոր «ինչու»-ներ մինչ օրս տրամաբանական հիմնավորում չեն ստացել։ Գլխավոր հարցը՝ ինչու երկու տասնամյակ իշխանության տաքուկ անկյուններում վայելքների մեջ ապրող Սեյրան Օհանյանը կտրուկ ցատկով տեղափոխվեց ընդդիմության փշոտ ճանապարհ։ Հիմա փորձում են ամեն ինչ այնպես հրամցնել, թե Սեյրան Օհանյանը իշխանության մեջ ընդդիմություն է եղել, բայց միեւնույն է դրանից հարցերը չեն ավարտվում։
Ասենք ինչպես, կամ ինչո՞ւ է տասնյակ տարիներ իշխանության պատասխանատու օղակի ղեկավար հանդիսացող Սեյրան Օհանյանը լռելյան մնացել իր աթոռին, մինչդեռ հիմա իշխանությունների վարած քաղաքականության անողոք քննադատությամբ է զբաղված, ինչու նա ժամանակին որեւէ կերպ դժգոհություն չի դրսեւորել այս կամ այն, ինչպես ինքն է ասում, գոյություն ունեցող արատավոր երեւույթների մասին, որոնք տիրել են համակարգում։ Սեյրան Օհանյանը կցկտուր պատմում է, թե երբեմն-երբեմն բարձրաձայնել է համակարգի բացերի ու ոմանց անարդյունավետ կառավարման մասին, բայց այդ ամենը մնացել են անարձագանք։ Այդ պարագայում Սեյրան Օհանյանին այլ բան չէր մնում, քան դուրս գալ համակարից, հեռանալ այդ իշխանությունից, ինչը նա չի արել։ Եւ բոլորովին մեկ-երկու տարի առաջ նա պատրաստ էր դառնալ Սերժ Սարգսյանի իրավահաջորդը ու այդ ուղղությամբ Օհանյանն ու ընտանիքն ակտիվ ջանքեր էին գործադրում, ներկայանում հայ ընտանիքի իդեալական տեսակով, նրանց մասին ֆիլմեր էին նկարահանվում ու ցուցադրվում Հանրայինի եթերով։ Բայց այդ ուրախությունը երկար չտեւեց, Սեյրան Օհանյանի բախտի անիվը թափ հավաքեց հակառակ ուղղությամբ։
Կարեն Կարապետյանի վարչապետությունից հետո վճռվեց նաեւ նրա հեռանալու հարցը, բայց մինչ այդ Օհանյանի գեղեցկուհի տիկինն արդեն իսկ հասցրել էր խամրեցնել ամուսնու փայլող աստղը՝ համացանցում իր բազմերանգ ֆոտեսեսիաներով, ծաղիկների ու հագուստի հիվանդագին համադրությամբ հայտնվելով մամուլի թիրախում։ Իշխանությունից իր հեռացումը Սեյրան Օհանյանը հիմնավորեց փոփոխությունների հույժ անհրաժեշտությամբ, որի պատճառով ինքը ստիպված եղավ մերժելու բարձր պաշտոններ՝ ՀԱՊԿ քարտուղարի, ԶՈՒ շտաբի պետի եւ էլի ուրիշներ։
