Նոր ընտրական օրենսգիրքը թույլ տվեց Հայաստանում անցկացնել ավելի լավ ընտրություններ: Հաղթանակած ուժի՝ Հայաստանի Հանրապետական կուսակցության խոսնակ Էդուարդ Շարմազանովն «Արմենպրես»-ի հետ զրույցում ընդունում է, որ եղան նաեւ թերություններ, բայց տեխնիկական վերազինման առումով ընտրողի ձայնը չկորավ, բացառվեց կրկնաքվեարկությունը:

Գնահատելով քվեարկության արդյունքները՝ նա նշեց, որ հանրությունը Հանրապետական կուսակցությանը տվեց իր վստահության քվեն, ինչը պարտավորեցնող է եւ հնարավորություն է տալիս շարունակելու սկսած բարեփոխումները: «Ես սա հաղթանակ չեմ համարում, որովհետեւ հաղթանակները լինում են մարտի դաշտում: Սա շատ պարտավորեցնող է»,-հավելեց Շարմազանովը:

ՀՀԿ խոսնակը, շնորհավորելով հաջորդ գումարման խորհրդարան անցած մյուս երեք ուժերին, հույս հայտնեց, որ բոլոր պատգամավորներն, անկախ կուսակցական պատկանելիությունից, կանեն հնարավորը, որպեսզի Հայաստանում պետական ու ազգային շահերն ավելի ճիշտ սպասարկվեն:

Անդրադառնալով մեր այն հարցին, թե քանի մանդատ կունենա ՀՀԿ-ն խորհրդարանում, Շարմազանովն ասաց, որ դա կհաշվի Կենտրոնական ընտրական հանձնաժողովը: «Այն, որ Հանրապետական կուսակցությունը հաջողության է հասել եւ ամբողջությամբ իրավունք ունի կառավարություն ձեւավորելու, դա փաստ է»,-հավելեց ՀՀԿ խոսնակը:

ՀՀ կենտրոնական ընտրական հանձնաժողովը ապրիլի 3-ին ժամը 12:00-ին, գումարելով արտահերթ նիստ, ամփոփեց Հայաստանի խորհրդարանական ընտրությունների 2009 տեղամասերի արդյունքները և կազմեց քվեարկության նախնական արդյունքների արձանագրություն: Համաձայն արձանագրության՝ ԱԺ են անցնում քաղաքական 4 ուժեր. առաջատարը ՀՀԿ-ն ՝ 49.12 տոկոսով, հաջորդում են «Ծառուկյան», «Ելք» դաշինքները, համապատասխանաբար, 27.32 և  7.77 տոկոսով և ՀՅԴ-ն՝ 6.57 տոկոս:
