Ինչպիսի Ազգային ժողով ունենք ի վերջո, ապրիլի 2-ի քվեարկության արդյունքում, կամ գուցե ավելի ճիշտ լինի ասել հետևանքով: Պատկերն իսկապես խառն է ու հակասական: Մի բան պարզ է, որ չնայած սահմանադրական փոփոխությունների և խորհրդարանական կառավարման մոդելի անցումն իշխանությունն ուղեկցում էր հռչակագրերով, որ այդպիսով ԱԺ դերն ավելի է բարձրանում, բարձրանում է կուսակցությունների դերն ու հետևաբար պառլամենտի քաղաքական կշիռը, այնուհանդերձ, նույն պառլամենտական մեծամասնության կազմը դիտարկելիս ակնհայտ է դառնում, որ քաղաքական կշռի մասին խոսելը մեղմ ասած չափազանցություն է: Խոսք կարող է գնալ ֆինանսական կշռի մասին:
Մյուս կողմից հստակ է նաև, որ նոր Ազգային ժողովն իր բնույթով չի տարբերվում նախորդ Ազգային ժողովներից: Եվ թերևս չէր էլ կարող տարբերվել, քանի որ, ինչպես ԵԱՀԿ-ԺՀՄԻԳ դիտորդական առաքելության ղեկավարն էր արձանագրում ընտրության մասին եզրակացությունը հայտնելիս՝ մի գիշերում ոչինչ չի լինում: Իհարկե հայկական պետականության ընթացքը հուշում է, որ մեկ գիշերում շատ բան է լինում, և հատկապես վերջին տասնամյակում Հայաստանի հետ կապված ճակատագրական ինչ լինում է՝ լինում է մեկ գիշերում: Մեկ գիշերում հայ-թուրքական համատեղ հայտարարությունն է լինում արձանագրությունների մասին, հետո մեկ գիշերում լինում են արձանագրությունները, մեկ գիշերում Հայաստանը ԵՏՄ-ին է անդամակցում: Այնպես որ, Հայաստանում մեկ գիշերում փոփոխությունները միանգամայն հավանական են: Խնդիրը սակայն այն է, որ դրանք մեկ գիշերում կատարվում են այն ժամանակ, երբ պետք է իշխանությանը, կամ երբ իշխանությունը ստիպված է կատարել, այլապես, ասենք թե Ռուսաստանը կզայրանա և Հայաստանում կարող է իշխանափոխություն սադրել, ասենք՝ ոչիշխանական բևեռի միջոցով, եթե Հայաստանը մեկ գիշերում չանդամակցի ԵՏՄ-ին: Այնպես որ, մեկ գիշերում հնարավոր են նաև ժողովրդավարական, ընտրական ֆունդամենտալ փոփոխություններ, պարզապես կամ դա պետք է շատ անհրաժեշտ լինի իշխանությանը, կամ էլ ինչ որ մեկը պետք է ստիպի դա իշխանությանը: Բայց հենց այդպիսի փոփոխությունն է, որ պետք չէ Հայաստանին և Հայաստանի քաղաքացուն: Պետք չէ այն ժողովրդավարությունը, որն ինչ որ մեկը պետք է մեկ գիշերում պարտադրի իշխանությանը: Որովհետև, եթե ինչ որ մեկը մեկ գիշերում կարող է ժողովրդավարություն պարտադրել, ապա կարող է նաև գիշերները պարտադրել իշխանությանը ամեն ինչ:
