Հայաստանի և Եվրոպական միության միջև համագործակցության վերաբերյալ նախաստորագրված համաձայնագիրը հիմք կհանդիսանա կողմերի միջև փոխգործակցության առավել ծավալուն փաթեթ մշակելու համար: Ապրիլի 7-ին լրագրողների հետ զրույցում այս մասին ասաց ՀՀ տնտեսական զարգացման և ներդրումների նախարարի առաջին տեղակալ Գարեգին Մելքոնյանը:  «Դուք գիտեք, որ, բացի բյուջետային աջակցության ծրագրերից, մենք ունենք Եվրոպական Միության կողմից ֆինանսավորվող և նրա աջակցությամբ Հայաստանում  իրականացվող այլ ծրագրեր: Դրանք են «Թվինինգ»-ը «Թայեքս»-ը, «Սիգմա»-ն, Սևծովյան ավազանի անդրսահմանային փոխգործակցության ծրագիրը, «Սոսիու» ծրագիրը, որը սոցիալական ոլորտին է առնչվում, և երկու խոշոր  գործիք, որոնց Հայաստանն անդամակցել է` ստորագրելով համապատասխան փաստաթղթերը: Խոսքը  փոքր և միջին ձեռնարկատիրական ոլորտին առնչվող «Կոսմե» ծրագրի և հայտնի «Հորիզոն 20-20»-ի մասին է, որն առնչվում է գիտության և կրթության ոլորտին»,- «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ, ասաց փոխնախարարը` վստահություն հայտնելով, որ ՀՀ-ԵՄ համագործակցության վերաբերյալ արդեն իսկ նախաստորագրված համաձայնագիրը հիմք կհանդիսանա հետագայում Եվրոպական Միության հետ գործակցության ավելի ծավալուն փաթեթ մշակելու համար:

Մելքոնյանը հայտնեց, որ Հայաստանն արդեն իսկ հայտեր ներկայացրել է ԵՄ «Կոսմե»  ծրագրով աջակցություն ստանալու համար:  «Որպեսզի խթանենք Հայաստանից հայտերի քանակը «Կոսմե»-ի մասով, մենք մի քանի աշխատաժողով ենք իրականացրել` փոքր միջին ձեռնարկատիրության զարգացման ազգային կենտրոնի ակտիվ ներգրավմամբ: ՓՄՁ ԶԱԿ-ի ծրագիրը «Կոսմե»-ի ֆոնդերից արդեն իսկ սնվում է, և կան մի քանի հայտեր, որոնք արդեն իսկ ներկայացված են ՓՄՁ ԶԱԿ-ի ներգրավմամբ: Կան ծրագրեր, որոնք ներկայումս մշակման փուլում են և նույնպես ներկայացվելու են»,- մանրամասնեց Գարեգին Մելքոնյանը:

Սևծովյան ավազանի անդրսահմանային փոխգործակցության ծրագրի մասով ՀՀ տնտեսական զարգացման և ներդրումների նախարարությունն այս տարի մի քանի աշխատաժողով արդեն իսկ կազմակերպել է: «Մեր նպատակն այստեղ Հայաստանից հնարավորինս մեծ թվով հայտեր ապահովելն է: Ամբողջ ծրագրի բյուջեն 54 միլիոն եվրո է, և այն երկիրը, որն ավելի տեղեկացված կլինի, կլինի ավելի ունակ մրցակցային ծրագրեր ներկայացնել, նա ավելի շատ ֆինանսական ռեսուրս կկարողանա ստանալ»,- եզրափակեց փոխնախարարը:

Հայաստանն ու Եվրամիությունը 2017 թ. մարտի 21-ին նախաստորագրել են համապարփակ և ընդլայնված գործընկերության շուրջ նոր համաձայնագիրը: Հայաստանի Հանրապետության անունից համաձայնագիրը նախաստորագրել են գլխավոր բանակցող, արտաքին գործերի նախարարի տեղակալ Կարեն Նազարյանը, ինչպես նաև առևտրական հարցերով բանակցող, տնտեսական զարգացման և ներդրումների նախարարի առաջին տեղակալ Գարեգին Մելքոնյանը: Եվրոպական Միության անունից նախաստորագրել են գլխավոր բանակցող, Եվրոպական արտաքին գործողությունների ծառայության Արևելյան գործընկերության, Ռուսաստանի, Կենտրոնական Ասիայի, տարածաշրջանային համագործակցության և ԵԱՀԿ հարցերով տնօրեն Լյուկ Դևինը, ինչպես նաև ԵՄ կողմի առևտրի հարցերով բանակցող, Եվրոպական հանձնաժողովի առևտրի գլխավոր տնօրինության ստորաբաժանման ղեկավար Պետրոս Սուրմլիսը։
