Երբ երկրորդ հղիությունս էի գրանցում հիվանդանոցում, բժիշկը, պարզելով, որ առաջին հղիությունից անցել է 10 տարի, մեխանիկորեն հարցրեց՝ իսկ քանի՞ աբորտ եք արել 10 տարում: Ապշած ասացի՝ ոչ մի: Հարցի ձեւակերպումն էր հատկանշական ու թիրախային. ոչ թե` «արել եք, թե ոչ», այլ՝ «քանի անգամ եք արել»: Սա շատ բան է հուշում հայկական իրականության մասին: Աբորտների քանակով Հայաստանն աշխարհում առաջատար դիրքերում է: Խնդիրներից մեկը հղիությունից պաշտպանվելու մեթոդների մասին տեղեկացվածության ցածր մակարդակն է: Այս առումով վիճակը ծանր է հատկապես մարզերում:
