Ապրիլյան պատերազմի ժամանակ վիրավորները զինվորական հոսպիտալում ստացել են ինչպես բարձրորակ բուժում, այնպես էլ սեր և հոգատարություն: Այս մասին «Արմենպրես»-ի մամուլի սրահում հրավիրված ասուլիսում նշեց ՀՀ ՊՆ կենտրոնական կլինիկական զինվորական հոսպիտալի վերակենդանացման բաժանմունքի պետ, բուժծառայության փոխգնդապետ Գայանե Հովհաննիսյանը:
«Ապրիլյան դեպքերը կյանքում մոռանալ չի լինի, այդ ծանր օրերը մենք վերապրեցինք: Բոլոր վիրավորներին մեկ առ մեկ հիշում ենք, բոլոր դեպքերն էլ մեզ համար առանձնահատուկ էին: Վստահաբար կարող ենք ասել, որ բոլոր վիրավորներին առանձնահատուկ հոգատարության ու ուշադրության էինք արժանացնում, կարծես, մեր երեխաները լինեին»,-ասաց Գայանե Հովհաննիսյանը:
Նրա խոսքով, հոսպիտալում անձնակազմը կազմակերպված ձևով, նվիրումով պայքարել է յուրաքանչյուր զինվորի կյանքի համար:
«Այնպիսի իրավիճակ էր, որ զգացմունքներին չպետք է տրվեինք: Մեր վիրավոր զինվորները ցուցաբերեցին աննախադեպ տոկոնություն: Նրանց շրջանում ապրելու ցանկությունն այնքան մեծ էր, որը ևս նպաստեց շուտ ապաքինմանը: Նման վիրավորումների հետ մենք գործ ենք ունեցել նաև խաղաղ պայմաններում, սակայն ապրիլյան օրերին անբացատրելի իրավիճակ էր: Կարճ ժամանակում կարողացանք տղաներին ոտքի կանգնեցնել: Մեր երիտասարդների սխրագործությունների մասին վկայում են բազմաթիվ օրինակներ: Այսօրվա երիտասարդությունը նախկինում փնովվում էր, սակայն այդ օրերին շատերը համոզվեցին, որ այն դեռ անելու շատ բան ունի»,-ասաց Գայանե Հովհաննիսյանը:
Ապրիլի 1-ի լույս 2-ի գիշերը Ադրբեջանը Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի զորքերի շփման գոտում սանձազերծել են լայնածավալ ռազմական գործողություններ: Հայկական կողմը, ընդունելով հակառակորդի մարտահրավերը, անցել է պաշտպանական հակահարձակ գործողությունների, որոնց արդյունքում հակառակորդին հասցվել են հսկայական մարդկային եւ նյութական կորուստներ:
Քառօրյա պատերազմի հետևանքով թե հայկական, թե ադրբեջանական կողմը ունեցան զոհեր և վիրավորներ: Ապրիլի 5-ին կրակիդադարեցման պայմանավորվածություն ձեռք բերվեց, որը հնարավոր դարձավ Մոսկվայում Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի Զինվածուժերի շտաբի պետերի հանդիպման արդյունքում:
