Ապրիլյան պատերազմի հերոս, Ջրականում (Ջաբրայիլ) նահատակված սերժանտ Կարեն Ներսիսյանի ծննդյան օրն է։

Նա մեկն էր այն ութ հերոսներից, ովքեր Ադամ Սահակյանի գլխավորած մարտում ընկերների հետ միասին մի քանի ժամ պայքարել էին հակառակորդի դեմ, կյանքի գնով պաշտպանել Ջրականի դիրքերից մեկը։

Հովհաննես Ներսիսյանը, ով ոչ միայն հերոսի ազգակիցն է, այլեւ մտերիմ ընկերը, ճանաչել է նրան մանկուց, նրա խոսքով՝ դեռ այն ժամանակներից, երբ նոր-նոր էին պատկերացում կազմում ընկերության մասին։ Միասին նույն Բջնի գյուղում են մեծացել, միասին նույն դպրոցը հաճախել, աջակից եղել միմյանց տարբեր հարցերում։

«Կարենն արագ էր մտածում, ինչն արտահայտվում էր նրա խոսքում. շատ արագախոս էր։ Ցանկացած միջավայրում աչքի էր ընկնում եւ տպավորվում հենց այդ հատկությամբ։ Դպրոցում էլ թե' դասընկերների, թե' ուսուցիչների կողմից շատ սիրված աշակերտ էր։ Նրան սիրում էին պահվածքի, յուրօրինակ մտածելակերպի համար։ Սիրում էր տարբեր բնագավառներում իրեն փորձել, աշխույժ ու լեցուն կյանքով ապրել։ Շատ լավ գիտեր մաթեմատիկա, եւ դա հատկապես ընդգծվեց ավագ դասարաններում, երբ ավելի լուրջ սկսեց զբաղվել դրանով։ Այդ առարկայով դասարանում երեւի առաջինն էր»,-«Արմենպրես»-ի հետ զրույցում վերհիշեց հերոսի ընկերը։

Կարենը զբաղվում էր սպորտով, հաճախում էր համակարգչային դասընթացների: Ընդունվել էր Երևանի ճարտարագիտական համալսարանի էլեկտրոտեխնիկական ֆակուլտետ, որոշ ժամանակ ուսանելուց հետո զորակոչվել էր բանակ։

«Համակարգիչներով, էլեկտրական սարքերով զբաղվել շատ էր սիրում։ Ես մի տարվա զինծառայող էի, որ Կարենն անցավ ծառայության։ Ես Մարտունիում էի, իսկ Կարենը՝ Ջաբրայիլում։ Ընթացքում կապը պահպանել ենք, մի քանի անգամ հանդիպել։  Առաջին անգամ, որ հանդիպեցինք, խոսեցինք,  ասաց՝ դե արդեն հարմարվել ենք, սա էլ է մեզ համար, բոլորս էլ պիտի ծառայենք, ասում էր՝ բոլորս մի նպատակ ունենք էստեղ, դիրք պետք է պահենք, ամեն կերպ էլ ուշադիր լինենք։ Մի հետաքրքիր բան եղավ. ես իմ ծառայակից ընկերոջն ասացի, որ գնալու եմ Ջաբրայիլ Կարենին տեսնելու, ինքն էլ նույն տեղում էր ընկերոջը պետք է գար տեսակցության։ Հետաքրքիր զուգադիպություն էր. պարզվեց, որ այդ ընկերն ու Կարենն էլ միմյանց էին ճանաչում ու ընկերներ էին»։

Հովհաննեսն ապրիլի 2-ին տեղեկացել է Ջաբրայիլում տիրող լարված իրավիճակի մասին, սակայն ընկերոջ մասին դեռ ոչինչ պարզել չի հաջողվել։

«Որ իմացա, մտքովս վատ բան անցավ, չնայած չէի ուզում այդպես մտածել։  Ընկերս իմացել էր Կարենի մասին, բայց ինձ ասել չէր ուզում։ Ադամի հետ են եղել, ես մի քանի անգամ Կարենին հանդիպելու ժամանակ տեսել եմ նրան։ Ընկերներ էին, Կարենը շատ էր պատմել Ադամի մասին. իմացանք, որ այդ ժամանակահատվածում էլ ուրիշ դիրքում էր եղել, բայց ուզել է՝ Ադամի հետ  դիրք պահի»։

Հերոսի ընկերը հավատացած է՝ ապրիլյան պատերազմն առաջին հերթին մեծ ազդեցություն ունեցավ բանակի վրա, ստիպեց էլ ավելի զգոն լինել ու պատրաստ ամեն ինչի։

«Այն ժամանակ միգուցե չէինք սպասում, որ նման լրջությամբ մի բան կարող է լինել, ճիշտ է, դիրք պահող յուրաքանչյուր զինվորն էլ պետք է զգոն լինի, բայց այս պատերազմը կարծես էլ ավելի լրջություն մտցրեց, ավելի զգոնացրեց, մեր բանակն ավելի պատրաստակամ դարձավ. հասկացանք, որ նման բաների ամեն պահի էլ պետք է սպասել, հատկապես երբ սեփական աչքերով ես տեսնում»,-եզրափակեց Հովհաննեսն ու հավելեց.

«Իմ ընկեր Կարենն էլ հիշողությանս մեջ կմնա իր բոլոր լավ կողմերով, այնպես,  ինչպես ես նրան ճանաչել եմ։ Կարենն իրոք այնպիսի մարդ է եղել, որ վատ կողմ չի ունեցել։ Ինչպես նա տպավորված է իմ մեջ, այդպես էլ նրան կհիշեմ մինչեւ իմ կյանքի վերջ։ Նա ինձ համար զոհված չէ, քանի դեռ նրան հիշում եմ։ Զոհված կլինի, երբ ես ու նրա մյուս ընկերները մոռանանք»։
