Աշխարհում կան այնպիսի վայրեր, որտեղ միակ բնակիչները, թվում է, ուրվականներն են: Լքված, դատարկ, լուռ ու մութ այս քաղաքները սարսուռ են առաջացնում:
Կոլմանսկոպ, Նամիբ անապատ
1908 թվականին երկաթգծի աշխատող Զաքարիս Լևալը Կոլմանսկոպի տարածքում ավազի մեջ ադամանդի հատիկներ հայտնաբերեց: Մի քանի տարի անց քաղաքում մեծ տներ, դպրոցներ, հիվանդանոցներ ու մարզադաշտեր կառուցվեցին, ու քաղաքը վերածվեց գերմանական նշանավոր քաղաքի: Սակայն կարճ ժամանակ հետո մարդիկ հասկացան, որ այստեղ ապրելու համար անհրաժեշտ պայաններ չկան. ադամանդի ու ջրի պաշարները սպառվել էին, ու անընդհատ մրրկահողմեր էին լինում: Այսպիսով՝ մի քանի տարի անց մարդիկ լքեցին քաղաքն, ու այն լքված մնաց անապատի կենտրոնում: Տների մեծ մասը ծածկված են ավազով:
Կրակո, Իտալիա
Կրակոն այնքան հայտնի կամ գեղեցիկ չէ, որքան Պոմպեյը, բայց այն ևս արժի այցելել: Քաղաքը կառուցվել է 1300-ականներին: Չնայած քաղաքն ավիրվել է հրաբխային ժայթքումներից՝ մեծ ու գողտրիկ եկեղեցիները դեռ կանգուն են: Կրակոն լքվել, բայց չի մոռացվել: Տարեկան 6 անգամ քաղաքի փողոցները լցվում են զբոսաշրջիկներով:

Այս քաղաքի առանձնահատկությունն այն է, որ այստեղ բնակվում են մարդիկ, իհարկե, ոչ միշտ: Տարին մի քանի անգամ հավաքվում են կամավորներ՝ զբոսաշրջիկներին օգնելու համար: Նրանք այստեղ ապրում են անվճար, սակայն պետք է հիշել, որ քաղաքում չկա ինտերնետ կապ, էլեկտրականություն և հոսող ջուր:

Սա Հնդկաստանի ամենագեղեցիկ լքված վայրերից մեկն է: Դուք կարող եք այցելել քաղաք, բայց մինչև մայրամուտը, քանի որ դրանից հետո քաղաք մտնելն արգելվում է, որովհետև հավատում են, որ արևի մայր մտնելուց հետո ուրվականներն ակտիվանում են:
