 Շուրջ 200 մարդ Է Իրանի նախագահի թեկնածու գրանցվել մայիսին կայանալիք ընտրություններում: Ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, այս տվյալները լրագրողներին հայտնել Է Ընտրությունների անցկացման շտաբի ղեկավար Իսլամական Հանրապետության ՆԳ նախարար Ալի Ասղար Ահմադին:
Նրա խոսքով՝ տեղական ժամանակով ժամը 12:45-ի դրությամբ ընդունվել են 197 մարդու՝ 189 տղամարդկանց եւ ութ կանանց գրանցման դիմումներ: Ամենատարեց թեկնածուն 82-ամյա ատամնաբույժ Է: Գրանցվածներից 54-ը գիտական աստիճան ունեն, 19-ը մարտական գործողությունների մասնակիցներ են, Ահմադին ներկայացրել Է գրանցման արշավի մանրամասները:   
Ապրիլի 11-ին Իրանի ԱԳ նախարարությունն սկսել Է թեկնածուների գրանցումը մայիսի 19-ին կայանալիք նախագահական ընտրություններին մասնակցելու համար: Իսլամական Հանրապետության Սահմանադրության համաձայն, երկրի նախագահ կարող Է դառնալ երկրի 40-ից ոչ ցածր տարիքի ցանկացած մշտական բնակիչ, որը իսլամի եւ իսլամական կարգի ակտիվ կողմնակից Է:     
Դիմումներն ընդունվելու են հինգ օրվա ընթացքում, եւ արդեն առաջին օրը գրանցվել Է 100-ից ավելի մարդ: Նման մասսայականություն դիտվում Է յուրաքանչյուր չորս տարին մեկ. ընտրություններից առաջ նախագահ դառնալ ցանկացողների թիվը հասնում Է մի քանի հարյուրի, լինում Է՝ մոտենում Է հազարի:
Թեկնածուների վերջնական ցուցակը, որոնց անունները կներառվեն ընտրական քվեաթերթիկներում, կհաստատի Իսլամական Հանրապետության Դիտորդական խորհուրդը (ԴԽ): Դրա մեջ մտնող շիա հոգեւորականության բարձրաստիճան ներկայացուցիչները եւ իսլամական իրավաբանները խիստ ընտրություն են անցկացնում: Որպես կանոն, նրանք մերժում են թեկնածությունների ճնշող մեծամասնությունը՝ թողնելով միայն առավել արժանիներին: Արդյունքում նրանք 10 հոգուց ավելի չեն լինում:      
Ինչպես լրագրողներին հայտնել Է ԴԽ-ի ղեկավար այաթոլլա Ալի Ջանաթին, առաջին օրը գրանցված գրեթե բոլոր թեկնածուները «անհրաժեշտ կոմպետենտություն չունեն»:
Ինչպես արդեն տեղեկացվել Է, Իրանի նախկին նախագահ Մահմուդ Ահմադինեժադը նույնպես փաստաթղթեր Է հանձնել երկրի նախագահի պաշտոնում իր թեկնածությունը գրանցելու համար: 
Ավելի վաղ Ահմադինեժադը հայտարարել Էր, որ մտադիր չԷ իր թեկնածությունն առաջադրել նախագահի պաշտոնի համար, քանի որ Իսլամական Հանրապետության ղեկավար այաթոլլա Ալի Խամենեին նրան խորհուրդ Էր տվել չմասնակցել ընտրություններին: 
Ընտրություններին մասնակցելու իրենց պլանների մասին արդեն հայտարարել են երկրի գործող նախագահ Հասան Ռոուհանին, պահպանողական կրոնական գործիչ Իբրահիմ Ռայիսին, ինչպես նաեւ Ահմադինեժադի մերձավոր դաշնակից Համիդ Բագհաին: Իրանի նախագահական ընտրություններն անցկացվելու են մայիսի 19-ին, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
