Ռազմական լուսանկարչի նոթերը. հայ զինվորն ինձ նշան էր անում, որ վազեմ դեպի իրեն

Ռազմական լուսանկարիչ Ջեք Պիկոնեն շատ երկրներում եղել է ռազմական գործողությունների էպիկենտրոնում, այդ թվում նաեւ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղում: Հենց Ղարաբաղյան պատերազմն է դարձել պատերազմական պայմաններում աշխատելու նրա առաջին իսկական փորձը:
Al Jazeera Magazine-ում հրապարակված իր նոթերում լուսանկարիչը նշում է, որ շատերը կարծում են, թե նման աշխատանք անում են միմիայն հանուն ադրենալինի, բայց ինքն այդ մասնագիտությունն է ընտրել մի շարք պատճառներով: Դրանցից մեկը ավստրալական թերթում անհետաքրքիր ու կրկնվող աշխատանքն էր:
Նրա առաջին ուղեւորությունը եղել է դեպի Իրաք, բայց ֆոտոլրագրողին ձերբակալել են եւ երկրից արտաքսել այն լուսանկարների համար, որոնցում պատկերված են եղել Քուվեյթի սահմանը հատող զինվորականներ:
«Ես եկա (Ղարաբաղ – ծ.խ.) 1992թ., մոտ 30 տարեկան էի եւ պատրաստ էի պատասխանել այն հարցին, որն ինքս ինձ տալիս էի տարիներ շարունակ. կարո՞ղ եմ գլուխս չկորցնել՝ եւ բառացի եւ փոխաբերական իմաստով, պատերազմող զինվորների փոխհրաձգությունը լուսանկարելիս:
Ես առաջ էի շարժվում դեպի հայ զինվորները, որոնք խրամատներում էին՝ լեռան լանջին, երբ ստացա իմ հարցի պատասխանը: Լեռը հանկարծ ցնցվեց կրակոցների ձայնից ու ականանետի պայթյունից: Երկնքում սահում էին մուգ, թանաքագույն ամպերը: Ոչ խորը բացվածքը (իդեալական, արդեն պատրաստի գերեզման) իմ միակ ապաստանն էր դեպի ինձ սլացող գնդակներից ու կասետային ռումբերից: Հիշում եմ, այնտեղ պառկած՝ մտածեցի, որ այդ տեղը չափից ավելի գեղատեսիլ է պատերազմի դաշտ լինելու համար, եւ, իհարկե, մեռնելու համար գեղեցիկ վայր էր:
Այդ ժամանակ ես վերեւ նայեցի ու տեսա հայ զինվորի, որն ինձ նշան էր անում, որ վազեմ դեպի իրեն: Նրա խրամատն ինձանից ընդամենը 80 մետր էր հեռու, բայց հավերժություն էր թվում: Ես բեկորների հարվածներ ստացա թիկունքիս ու գլխիս ստորին հատվածում, բայց ողջ էի: Սիրտս խփում էր, ադրենալինը բարձրանում էր մարմնովս եւ ես զգում էի վերածնման էյֆորիայի հենց այն տեսակը, որն ապրում ես, երբ հաջողվում է խույս տալ մահից»,- գրում է լուսանկարիչը:
