Ողջ էներգիան ուղղորդելով սեռական հարաբերությանը՝ նրանք տանջանքների են դատապարտել իրենց օրգանիզմի մյուս համակարգերը, և առաջին հերթին` իմունային համակարգը: Հեղինակները հավաստիացնում են, որ սպերմատոզոիդի ինտենսիվ արտադրման դեպքում տղամարդու օրգանիզմը հատկապես խոցելի է դառնում բակտերիալ ինֆեկցիաների նկատմամբ:

«Տղմարդիկ ստիպված են լինում գումար վճարել սիրո համար: Սեքսից հետո նրանց օրգանիզմում ավելանում է բակտերիալ վարակների առաջացման հավանականությունը: Մեր հետազոտություններն, իհարկե, ձեռնոց են նետում սեքսի մասին ավանդական պատկերացումներին, բայց իրականում ամեն ինչ այդքան էլ հեշտ չէ, և սպերմայի արտադրությունը տղաների վրա այնդքան էլ էժան չի նստում»,- նշում է բժիշկ Դաուլինգը:
