Արդյունաբերության ճյուղը` չնայած վերջին տարիներին հումքային ապրանքների գների և գործընկեր երկրների պահանջարկի նվազմանը, 2015-2016թթ. աճի ցուցանիշներ է արձանագրել:
2015 թվականին արդյունաբերության վրա դրական է նպաստել հիմնականում հանքագործական արդյունաբերության աճը (57.9%), որը հիմնականում պայմանավորված էր նոր հանքավայրի շահագործմամբ: Մինչդեռ մշակող արդյունաբերության ճյուղը նվազում է արձանագրել, որը համահունչ էր արտաքին պահանջարկի և տնօրինվող եկամտի նվազմանը:
Էլէներգիայի արտադրության աճին (6.6%) նպաստել է արտահանման ծավալների աճը: Էլէներգիայի աճը պայմանավորված է եղել էլեկտրաէներգիայի արտահանման (դեպի Իրան և Վրաստան) 7% աճով և ներմուծման 15.6% նվազմամբ: Արդյունքում` էլեկտրաէներգիայի զուտ արտահանումն աճել է 11.2%-ով:
2016 թվականի արդյունաբերության ճյուղի աճն ավելի դիվերսիֆիկացված է եղել: 2016 թվականի հունվար-հուլիս ամիսներին արձանագրվել է արդյունաբերական արտադրանքի համախառն թողարկման ծավալների 7.9% աճ: Չնայած 2016-ին մետաղների գները շարունակել են նվազել` 2016-ին արդյունաբերության աճին ամենամեծ մասնակցությունն է ունեցել հանքագործական արդյունաբերությունը, որն աճել է 19%-ով: Մշակող արդյունաբերությունն աճել է 3.5%-ով, որը հիմնականում պայմանավորված էր սննդամթերքի (6.4%), ոսկերչական արտադրատեսակների (80.8%), ծխախոտի (13.6%) և խմիչքների (8.2%) արտադրության աճով: Մշակող արդյունաբերության աճին բացասական են նպաստել հիմնային մետաղների արտադրության (10.7%) և այլ ոչ մետաղական հանքային արտադրատեսակների (27%) նվազումները:
Էլէներգիայի արտադրությունը աճել է 12.3%-ով, որը պայմանավորված է եղել հիմնականում էլեկտրաէներգիայի բաշխման ոլորտում բարձր աճի ցուցանիշներով: Արդյունաբերության աճին նպաստել է նաև ջրամատակարարման ոլորտի 7.1% աճը՝ պայմանավորված հիմնականում թափոնների արտադրության 21.8% աճով:
2017-ին կանխատեսվում է արդյունաբերության աճի տեմպի արագացում: Արդյունաբերության աճը 2017 թվականին կկազմի շուրջ 5.5%: Աճի արագացումը պայմանավորված կլինի ինչպես հումքային ապրանքների գների վերականգնմամբ, այնպես էլ տնօրինվող եկամտի աճի ազդեցությամբ ներքին պահանջարկի աճով:
