Վրաստանի արտաքին գործերի փոխնախարար Դավիթ Ջալաղանիան հայտարարել Է, որ Աբխազիա Ռուսաստանի ԱԳ նախարար Սերգեյ Լավրովի այցը «երկրի ինքնիշխանության դեմ ոտնձգության հերթական փորձն Է»: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, ապրիլի 18-ին հայտնել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
 
Գործակալության տեղեկատվության համաձայն՝ Ջալաղանիան նաեւ նշել Է, որ Սուխում Լավրովի ժամանումը խոսում Է «միջազգային սկզբունքների ու օրենքների անտեսման» մասին:
 
Բացի այդ Վրաստանի արտաքին քաղաքական գերատեսչությունը հայտարարություն Է զետեղել իր կայքում, որում կոչ Է արել Ռուսաստանին` դադարեցնել սադրիչ գործողությունների պրակտիկան: Փաստաթղթում նաեւ նշվում Է, որ «Վրաստանի պետական սահմանի խախտմամբ Աբխազիայի տարածաշրջան Ռուսաստանի արտաքին գործերի նախարարի ժամանումը եւ Սուխումում Ռուսմաստանի դիվանագիտական ներկայացուցչության նոր շենքի բացումը կոպտորեն խախտում Է պետության ինքնիշխանության եւ տարածքային ամբողջականության հարգման սկզբունքը»:
 
Ապրիլի 18-ին Լավրովն աշխատանքային այցով ժամանելու Է Սուխում եւ մասնակցելու Է Աբխազիայում Ռուսաստանի դեսպանության շենքերի նոր համալիրի հանդիսավոր բացմանը: ՌԴ ԱԳ նախարարի աշխատանքային այցը Աբխազիա կետեւի երկու օր: Ապրիլի 19-ին պլանավորված են Լավրովի բանակցությունները Աբխազիայի նախագահ Ռաուլ Խաջիմբայի, Ժողովրդական ժողովի խոսնակ Վալերի Կվարչիայի եւ հանրապետության արտաքին գործերի նախարար Դաուր Կովեի հետ:
