«Հրապարակ» թերթը գրում է.
«Փետրվարին քրեական գործ հարուցվեց «Համախմբում» կուսակցության նախագահ Վարդան Օսկանյանի որդու՝ Արա Օսկանյանի դեմ։ Նրա մորաքրոջ որդին՝ Նժդեհ Բերբերյանը, փետրվարի 17-ին գրավոր հաղորդմամբ հայտնել էր ոստիկաններին, որ նախորդ օրն Արան իր ընկերոջ հետ առեւանգել է իրեն, իր կամքին հակառակ պահել ավտոմեքենայի մեջ, սպառնացել են՝ պահանջելով վերադարձնել իրենց պարտքը։
Բերբերյանն առցանց խաղադրույքներ է կատարել Արայի եւ նրա ընկերոջ գումարներով՝ մոտ 1 մլն․ 650 հազար դրամի։ Այժմ նրանք մեղադրվում են մարդու առեւանգման հոդվածով։
Դեպքի հաջորդ օրը լուր տարածվեց, որ Օսկանյանի կինը՝ Նանի Օսկանյանը, այցելել է տուժողին եւ գումար առաջարկել՝ բողոքը հետ վերցնելու համար։ Պրոգնոզներ հնչեցին, որ Օսկանյանի որդու գործը գրեթե փակված է։ Բայց մարդու առեւանգումը՝ ապօրինաբար ազատությունից զրկելը, ծանր հանցագործություն է, մասնավոր գանգատի գործ չէ, եւ միայն գանգատը հետ վերցնելով այն փակել հնարավոր չէ։
Քննչական կոմիտեից երեկ տեղեկացրին, որ նախաքննությունը շարունակվում է։ Նժդեհ Բերբերյանի շահերի պաշտպան Հովհաննես Խուդոյանը միայն հայտնեց, որ վարույթով, կարծես, նոր գործողություններ չեն արվել։ Չե՞ք կարծում, որ նախաքննությունը ձգվում է։ «Ոչ, քրեական վարույթի սովորական ընթացք է»,- ասաց նա»:
