 Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը 20-րդ դարի պատմության խոշորագույն իրադարձություններից մեկն է, այն տրավմա էր ողջ մարդկության, և հատկապես հայկական ծագմամբ ֆրանսիացիների համար, ուստիև Ֆրանսիայի համար: Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, նման հայտարարությամբ Nouvelles d'Armenie-ի հետ հարցազրույցում հանդես է եկել Ֆրանսիայի նախագահի սոցիալիստ թեկնածու ենուա Ամոնը:

Ամոնը խոստանում է նաև Ֆրանսիայի նախագահ ընտրվելու պարագայում շարունակել մասնակցել Հայոց ցեղասպանության հիշատակման արարողություններին, քանզի «այն չպետք է մոռացվի»: Նա նաև հույս է հայտնել, որ հնարավորություն կունենա մի օր Երևանում մասնակցել հիշատակի արարողությանը: «Ֆրանսիայի հայկական կազմակերպությունների համակարգող խորհրդի ընթրիքի ժամանակ, որին ես ևս ներկա էի, Ֆրանսուա Օլանդն առաջարկեց Հանրապետության ազգային հիշատակի օրերի ցանկում ընդգրկել նաև բոլոր ցեղասպանությունների, պատերազմի հանցագործությունների ու մարդկության դ եմ գործած հանցագործությունների հիշատակման օր: Ես լիովին սատարում եմ այս գաղափարը: Հանրապետության նախագահ ընտրվելու պարագայում ես կշարունակեմ այդ ուղղությամբ տարվող աշխատանքը»,- նշել է սոցիալիստ թեկնածուն:

Անդրադառնալով Հայոց ցեղասպանության միջազգային ճանաչման գործընթացին՝ Ֆրանսիայի նախագահի թեկնածուն այս ուղղությամբ Ֆրանսիայի հայ համայնքի և առհասարակ բոլոր համայնքների ներդրած ջանքերը հրաշալի և լեգիտիմ է համարում: «Ֆրանսիան 2001թ. դարձավ Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը ճանաչած երկրներից մեկը, սակայն ես գիտակցում եմ, որ այսօր պետք է ավելի հեռուն գնալ: Ինչպես ասում էր Ժան Ժորեսը «մարդկությունը չի կարող ապրել այս քարանձավում՝ սպանված ժողովրդի աճյունի հետ միասին»: Իսկ նա դա ասում էր դեռևս 1897թ.՝ 1915թ. ցեղասպանությունից 18 տարի առաջ»,- ընդծել է Ամոնը:

Նա շեշտել է, որ նույնիսկ եթե ցեղասպանության ժխտման քրեականացման ճանապարհին որոշակի արգելքներ են առաջանում, չի կարելի ձեռքերը վայր իջեցնել: «Բազմաթիվ ճանապարհներ կան այս հիշողությունը կենդանի պահելու համար, ինչպես նաև նման զանգվածային հանցագործությունների կրկնությունը կանխելու համար: Ահա թե ինչու ես կողմ եմ Հանրապետության օրացույցի մեջ զանգվածային հանցագործությունների հիշատակի օրվա ամրագրման համար: Այս գործընթացն իրականացվում է պատմաբան Վինսեն Դյուկլերկի ղեկավարած առաքելության կողմից: Սա նաև ցույց կտա հանրապետական արժեքներ ի հանդեպ մեր հարգանքը»,- ընդգծել է Բենուա Ամոնը:

Ֆրանսիայի նախագահի ընտրություններն անցկացվելու են 2017 թվականի ապրիլի 23-ին: Եթե թեկնածուներից որևէ մեկը չստանաձայների կեսից ավելին, ապա երկրորդ փուլը կանցկացվի մայիսի 7-ին: Ներկայումս ընտրարշավի առաջատար թեկնածուներն ենՀանրապետականների կողմից առաջադրված Ֆրանսուա Ֆիյոնը, «Ազգային < i>ճակատի» առաջնորդ Մարին Լը Պենը, Ֆրանսիայիէկոնոմիկայի նախկին նախարար Էմանուել Մակրոնը, Սոցիալիստական կուսակցության թեկնածու Բենուա Ամոնը ևԿոմունիստական կուսակցության ու մի շարք այլ ձախ ուժերի աջակցությունը վայելող Ժան-Լյուկ Մելանշոնը:
