Իրանի սադրիչ գործողություններն սպառնում են ԱՄՆ-ին, տարածաշրջանին ու ամբողջ աշխարհին: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, հայտարարել Է ԱՄՆ-ի պետքարտուղար Ռեքս Թիլերսոնը: 
«Իրանն աշխարհի առաջատարն Է ահաբեկչությունը հովանավորելու ասպարեզում: Նա պատասխանատու Է բազմաթիվ հակամարտությունների եւ այնպիսի երկրներում ԱՄՆ-ի շահերի խափանման համար, ինչպիսիք են Սիրիան, Եմենը եւ Լիբանանը, ինչպես նաեւ Իսրայելի վրա գրոհների շարունակվող աջակցության համար»,- ապրիլի 19-ին ասել Է նա  լրագրողներին:
ԱՄՆ-ի պետքարտուղարի խոսքով՝ «Իրանն ունի նույն այն ճանապարհն անցնելու ներուժը, ինչ եւ Հյուսիսային Կորեան, եւ աշխարհն ստիպված կլինի գործ ունենալ դրա հետ»: 
 
«ԱՄՆ-ը կցանկանար խուսափել այն իրադրությունից, երբ երկրորդ անգամ հարկ կլինի համոզվել, որ ռազմավարական համբերությունն անհաջող մոտեցում Է»,- ընդգծել Է Թիլերսոնը:
 
Նա հայտարարել Է, որ իրանական միջուկային ծրագրի վերաբերյալ Գործողությունների համատեղ համապարփակ ծրագիրը թույլ չի տալիս հասնել նպատակին՝ միջուկազերծ Իրանին: Նա համոզված Է, որ Իրանը, չնայած այդ ծրագրին, առաջվա պես ունի հնարավորություն դառնալու միջուկային պետություն: 
 
Պետքարտուղարի խոսքով՝ այդ գործարքն «արտացոլում Է անհաջող մոտեցումն անցյալում»: Նա նաեւ նշել Է, որ միջուկային գործարքն անտեսում Է «մյուս սպառնալիքները, որոնց աղբյուրը Իրանն Է», 
Թիլերսոնի՝ ապրիլի 18-ին տարածված հայտարարության մեջ ասված Է, որ ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը Սպիտակ տանն առընթեր Ազգային անվտանգության խորհրդին հանձնարարել Է Իրանի միջուկային ծրագրի վերաբերյալ համաձայնագրի գնահատում անցկացնել: «Նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը հանձնարարել Է Ազգային անվտանգության խորհրդին՝ կատարել Իրանի միջուկային ծրագրի վերաբերյալ համաձայնագրի՝ Գործողությունների համատեղ համապարփակ ծրագրի ստուգում, որը կպարզի թե արդյոք Միացյալ Նահանգների ազգային շահերի համար կենսականորեն կարեւոր Է Իրանի հետ կապված պատժամիջոցների կաս եցումը՝ Գործողությունների համատեղ համապարփակ ծրագրի պայմաններին համապատասխան»,- նշել Է ԱՄՆ-ի պետքարտուղարը, հաղորդել Է «Ինտերֆաքս»-ը:
