Հում մասուրի 100 գր․ պարունակում է 51կկալ, որը լրիվ անվտանգ է մարդկանց համար, ովքեր ունեն ավելորդ քաշ։ Սակայն չոր մասուրի 100 գր․ պարունակում է 284 կկալ, որն արդեն պետք է սահմանափակ օգտագործել։
Մասուրի 100 գր-ը պարունակում է 14-60 գր․ջուր, 1․6-4 գր․ սպիտակուցներ, 24-60 գր․ ածխաջրեր, 4-10 գր․ սննդային թելիկներ։ Այն պարունակում է նաև մեծ քանակությամբ հանքային նյութեր՝ կալիում, նատրիում, կալցիում, մագնիում, ֆոսֆոր, երկաթ, և վիտամիններ ՝B1, В2, B6, K, E, РР, С։
Վիտամին C-ն մասուրի մեջ 5-10 անգամ ավել է քան սև հաղարջում, և մոտ 40 անգամ ավել, քան կիտրոնի մեջ։ Մասուրը մաքրում է արյունատար համակարգը, հարուստ է վիտամիններով, օգտագործվում է սակավարյունության ժամանակ, երիկամների և միզապարկի, լյարդի հիվանդությունների ժամանակ։ Մասուրը օգտագործվում է որպես ընդհանուր ամրացնող, տոնուսավորող միջոց, այն բարձրացնում է օրգանիզմի դիմադրողականությունը ինֆեկցիոն հիվանդությունների ժամանակ։
