ՀՀ Նախագահը, Առաջին տիկինն ու բարձրաստիճան այրերը հարգանքի տուրք մատուցեցին Ծիծեռնակաբերդում

Հայաստանի Հանրապետության նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը` տիկնոջ Ռիտա Սարգսյանի հետ, Ծիծեռնակաբերդի հուշահամալիրում հարգանքի տուրք մատուցեց 1915թ. Օսմանյան Թուրքիայի իրականացրած ոճիրի` Հայոց ցեղասպանության անմեղ զոհերի հիշատակին: Երկրի ղեկավարի հետ Ծիծեռնակաբերդի բարձունք են եկել նաև ՀՀ ազգային ժողովի նախագահ Գալուստ Սահակյանը, վարչապետ Կարեն Կարապետյանը, բարձրաստիճան պաշտոնյաներ, հասարակական-քաղաքական գորիչներ: «Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ` անմար կրակի մոտ Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Գարեգին Բ Ամենայն Հայոց կաթողիկոսի հանդիսապետությամբ հոգեհանգստյան պաշտոն կատարեց հոգեւոր դասը, հավաքվածները գլուխ խոնարհեցին եւ մեկ րոպե լռությամբ հարգեցին սպանված 1,5 միլիոն հայերի հիշատակը:
Ապրիլի 24-ին հիշատակի արարողություններ են կատարվում Հայաստանի բոլոր շրջաններում, աշխարհի տարբեր երկրների հայկական համայնքներում: Բողոքի կոչ է բարձրացվում Թուրքիայի մերժողական քաղաքականության դեմ եւ ուղերձ հղվում միջազգային հանրությանը` ճանաչելու 20-րդ դարասկզբի մեծագույն ոճրագործությունը` դրանով թույլ չտալով ցեղասպանությունների կրկնություն: Հայ առաքելական եկեղեցու բոլոր թեմերում մատուցվում է հոգեհանգստյան պատարագ:
Օսմանյան կառավարության կողմից իրականացված Հայոց ցեղասպանության փաստը հիմնավորվել է, ճանաչվել ու հաստատվել ականատեսների վկայություններով, օրեքներով, բանաձեւերով եւ բազմաթիվ նահանգների ու միջազգային կազմակերպությունների որոշումներով: 1915թ. Օսմանյան կայսրությունում հայ բնակչության մասայական կոտորածները որպես նախապես ծրագրավորված ու ամբողջությամբ իրագործված ցեղասպանական ակտ որակող փաստաթղթերի ամբողջական շարքը հսկայական է: Հայոց ցեղասպանությունն ընդունել են այնպիսի կազմակերպություններ, ինչպիսիք են Եվրոպայի Խորհուրդը, Եվրախորրդարանը, ՄԱԿ-ի մի քանի հանձնաժողովներ, Եկեղեցիների համաշխարհային միությունը, ՄԵՐԿՈՍՈւՐ-ի խորհրդարանը եւ այլն: Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը ճանաչել են շատ պետություններ. առաջինը պաշտոնապես ընդունել է Ուրուգվայը 1965 թ.: Հայ ժողովրդի կոտորածը պաշտոնապես դատապարտել եւ ճանաչել են որպես ցեղասպանություն` ըստ միջազգային իրավունքի, հետեւյալ երկրները` Ֆրանսիա, Իտալիա, Բելգիա, Նիդեռլանդներ, Շվեյցարիա, Շվեդիա, Ռուսաստան, Լեհաստան, Լիտվա, Հունաստան, Սլովակիա, Կիպրոս, Լիբանան, Ուրուգվայ, Արգենտինա (2 օրենք, 5 բանաձեւ), Վենեսուելա, Չիլի, Բոլիվիա, Կանադա, Վատիկան, Ավստրիա, Լյուքսեմբուրգ, Գերմանիա, Ավստրալիայի Նոր Հարավային Ուելս նահանգը, ԱՄՆ 45 նահանգներ:
