IDEA հիմնադրամի հիմնադիր Ռուբեն Վարդանյանը լավատես է Հայաստանի և հայության ապագայի հարցում: «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ` Ծիծեռնակաբերդում լրագրողների հետ զրույցում Ռուբեն Վարդանյանն ասաց, որ իր պապիկը 7 տարեկանում փրկվել է Ցեղասպանությունից, և դա ոչ միայն իր ազգի հիշողությունն է, այլև սեփական ընտանիքի պա տմությունը: Հայոց ցեղասպանության զոհերի հիշատակը պետք է պահել և գնալ առաջ:
«Այս հիշատակը մենք պետք է պահենք, գնանք առաջ, օգնենք այն ազգերին, որոնք նույն բանն են տեսնում: Մենք, իմանալով այս ցավը, պետք է օգնենք նրանց: Ես քաղաքական գործիչ չեմ և քաղաքական ինչ-որ բաներ չեմ կարող ասել, պարզապես վստահ եմ, որ մենք որպես ազգ՝ կարող ենք լինել հաջողակ և այդ հաջողությամբ կարող ենք հաղթահարել դժվարությունները: Այդ հաջողությամբ մենք պետք է միանանք` և΄ սփյուռք, և΄ Հայաստան, ու միասին աշխատենք, որ մեր պետությունը դառնա չքնաղ երկիր»,- նշեց Վարդանյանը:
Նրա պնդմամբ՝ զարգացմամբ և հաջողությամբ պետք է ցույց տալ բոլորին` մասնավորապես հարևան երկրներին, որ նրանց ուզածը չի ստացվել, հայ ազգը շարունակում է իր կյանքը, լուման ներդնում աշխարհի զարգացման գործում:
«Մենք պետք է ամեն ինչ անենք, որպեսզի աշխարհը, նայելով, թե ինչ է եղել 102 տարի առաջ` հասկանա, որ մենք ունենք պատմություն և շատ բան ենք տալիս աշխարհին»,- ընդգծեց Ռուբեն Վարդանյանը:
Օսմանյան կառավարության կողմից իրականացված Հայոց ցեղասպանության փաստը հիմնավորվել է, ճանաչվել ու հաստատվել ականատեսների վկայություններով, օրենքներով, բանաձեւերով եւ բազմաթիվ նահանգների ու միջազգային կազմակերպությունների որոշումներով: 1915թ. Օսմանյան կայսրությունում հայ բնակչության մասսայական կոտորածները որպես նախապես ծրագրավորված ու ամբողջությամբ իրագործված ցեղասպանական ակտ որակող փաստաթղթերի ամբողջական շարքը հսկայական է: Հայոց ցեղասպանությունն ընդունել են այնպիսի կազմակերպություններ, ինչպիսիք են Եվրոպայի Խորհուրդը, Եվրախորհրդարանը, ՄԱԿ-ի մի քանի հանձնաժողովներ, Եկեղեցիների համաշխարհային միությունը, Հարավային Ամերիկայի խոշորագույն կազմակերպություններից մեկի` ՄԵՐԿՈՍՈւՐ-ի խորհրդարանը եւ այլն: Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը ճանաչել են շատ պետություններ. առաջինը պաշտոնապես ընդունել է Ուրուգվայը 1965 թ.: Հայ ժողովրդի կոտորածը պաշտոնապես դատապարտել եւ ճանաչել են որպես ցեղասպանություն` ըստ միջազգային իրավունքի, հետեւյալ երկրները` Ֆրանսիա, Իտալիա, Բելգիա, Նիդեռլանդներ, Շվեյցարիա, Շվեդիա, Ռուսաստան, Լեհաստան, Լիտվա, Հունաստան, Սլովակիա, Կիպրոս, Լիբանան, Ուրուգվայ, Պ արագվայ, Արգենտինա (2 օրենք, 5 բանաձեւ), Վենեսուելա, Չիլի, Բոլիվիա, Կանադա, Վատիկան, Ավստրիա, Լյուքսեմբուրգ, Գերմանիա, Ավստրալիայի Նոր Հարավային Ուելս նահանգը, ԱՄՆ 45 նահանգներ:
