Ռուսաստանի արտաքին գործերի նախարարության պաշտոնական ներկայացուցիչ Մարիա Զախարովան Նյու Յորքի հայկական եկեղեցիում հարգանքի տուրք է մատուցել Հայոց ցեղասպանության զոհերի հիշատակին:
«Ապրիլի 24-ը Հայոց ցեղասպանության զոհերի հիշատակի օրն է: Ինչ որ մեկը չի ճանաչում «ցեղասպանություն» անվանումը, ինչ որ մեկը կասկածի տակ է դնում զոհերի թիվը, քննարկում` «եղել է, չի եղել»:
Ռուսաստանի Պետդուման դեռևս 1995 թվականին ընդունել է «1915-1922 թվականներին իր պատմնական հայրենիքում` Արևմտյան Հայաստանում, հայ ժողովրդի ցեղասպանությունը դատապարտելու մասին» բանաձև: Նյու Յորքում` ՄԱԿ-ի շենքի հարևանությամբ գտնվում է հայկական եկեղեցի: Մտա: Այսօր սրտով հայ ժողովրդի հետ ենք, որտեղ էլ գտնվենք»,- ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում գրել է Մարիա Զախարովան:
Օսմանյան կառավարության կողմից իրականացված Հայոց ցեղասպանության փաստըհիմնավորվել է, ճանաչվել ու հաստատվել ականատեսների վկայություններով, օրենքներով, բանաձեւերով եւ բազմաթիվ նահանգների ու միջազգային կազմակերպություններիորոշումներ
Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը ճանաչել են շատ պետություններ. առաջինըպաշտոնապես ընդունել է Ուրուգվայը 1965 թ.: Հայ ժողովրդի կոտորածը պաշտոնապեսդատապարտել եւ ճանաչել են որպես ցեղասպանություն` ըստ միջազգային իրավունքի, հետեւյալերկրները` Ֆրանսիա, Իտալիա, Բելգիա, Նիդեռլանդներ, Շվեյցարիա, Շվեդիա, Ռուսաստան, Լեհաստան, Լիտվա, Հունաստան, Սլովակիա, Կիպրոս, Լիբանան, Ուրուգվայ, Պարագվայ, Արգենտինա (2 օրենք, 5 բանաձեւ), Վենեսուելա, Չիլի, Բոլիվիա, Կանադա, Վատիկան, Ավստրիա, Լյուքսեմբուրգ, Գերմանիա, Ավստրալիայի Նոր Հարավային Ուելս նահանգը, ԱՄՆ 45 նահանգներ:
