Ցուցարարները Կանադայի իշխանություններին կոչ են արել Ցեղասպանության հարցում ճնշում գործադրել Թուրքիայի նկատմամբ

Հազարավոր կանադացիներ և Կանադայի հայ համայնքի ներկայացուցիչներ ապրիլի 24-ին Հայոց ցեղասպանության 102-րդ տարելիցի կապակցությամբ հավաքվել են Օտտավայի Խորհրդարանական Բլուրի տարածքում` Կանադայի խորհրդարանի շենքի մոտ և բողոքի ցույց անցկացրել Թուրքիայի կողմից այդ հանցագործությունը շարունակաբար ժխտելու դեմ:
Ցուցարարները հավաքվել են խորհրդարանի շենքի առջև` շնորհակալություն հայտնել Կանադայի իշխանություններին 1915 թվականի փաստերը մշտապես ճանաչելու համար և կոչ արել կառավարությանը ճնշում գործադրել ՆԱՏՕ-ում իր դաշնակից Թուրքիայի նկատմամբ, որպեսզի վերջինս հաշտվի իր անցյալի հետ ու վերջ տա Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը ժխտելու քաղաքականությանը:
Խորհրդարանի շենքի առջև տեղի ունեցած արարողությունից հետո ցուցարարները Ռիդո փողոցով շարժվել են դեպի Թուրքիայի դեսպանատուն, որտեղ անցկացրել են խաղաղ ցույց` Թուրքիայի մերժողականության և այդ երկրում մարդու իրավունքների խախտման դեպքերի դեմ, պահանջել արդարություն Հայոց ցեղասպանության 1,5 մլն զոհերի հիշատակը հարգելու հարցում:
