Հայաստանի և Չեխիայի միջև հարաբերությունների մակարդակը բավական բարձր է: «Արմենպրես»-ի հետ զրույցում երկկողմ դիվանագիտական հարաբերություններին նման գնահատական տվեց Չեխիայի Հանրապետությունում և Սլովակիայում Հայաստանի Հանրապետության արտակարգ և լիազոր դեսպան Տիգրան Սեյրանյանը:
«Հայաստանի և Չեխիայի միջև դիվանագիտական հարաբերությունները հաստատվել են 1993 թվականի հունվարի 5-ին՝ Չեխիայի և Սլովակիայի խաղաղ «ապահարզանից» անմիջապես հետո։ Մեր երկրների միջև հարաբերությունների մակարդակը բավականին բարձր է, մեր պետությունների ղեկավարների միջև ընթանում է պարբերական քաղաքական երկխոսություն, շատ ակտիվ են միջխորհրդարանական, մշակութային, կրթական կապերը, վերջին շրջանում նկատվում է նաև տնտեսական ակտիվություն։ 2010 թվականից սկսած տեղի են ունեցել պետությունների գրեթե բոլոր բարձրագույն պաշտոնյաների փոխայցելու թյուններ, ներառյալ նախագահների պետական այցերը։ Բազմիցս փոխայցելություններ են եղել արտաքին քաղաքական գերատեսչությունների ղեկավարների մակարդակով»,-նշեց դեսպան Սեյրանյանը, ով 2013 թվականից ներկայացնում է Հայաստանը նաև Սլովակիայում, որի հետ նույնպես առկա են ջերմ հարաբերություններ։
Նրա խոսքով՝ Չեխիայի հայ համայնքը հիմնականում հետխորհրդային է, թեպետ հայտնի են հայերի ներկայության մասին տեղեկություններ 17-րդ դարի վերջից։ Նախորդ դարի 20-ականներին Չեխիայում ուսանել են մեծ թվով հայ երիտասարդներ, որոնք նույնիսկ միություն են ունեցել։ Հայերի թիվը մեծ չէ՝ 6-7 հազար մարդ, որոնցից շուրջ երկու հազարը Հայաստանի քաղաքացիներ են։
Պաշտոնապես գրանցված է Հայ առաքելական եկեղեցին, գործում են «Օրեր» պարբերականը, շաբաթօրյա հայկական դպրոցը, մի շարք միություններ, նաև, վերջերս ստեղծված երիտասարդական միությունը։ Կան բազմաթիվ հայ գործարարներ՝ ամենահայտնիների շարքում են «Մառլենկա» ընկերության սեփականատեր Գևորգ Ավետիսյանը, գործարարներ Աղասի Զավարյանը, Կարեն Սարգսյանը, Արմեն Անանիկյանը, Արա Աբաջյանը։ Գործարարության ոլորտները բազմազան են. սպասարկում, շինարարություն, սննդարդյունաբերություն։ «Աշխատանք ենք տանում վերջիններիս կողմից Հայաստանում ներդրումնր իրականացնելու ուղղությամբ։ Քսանից ավելի նկարիչներ կան, բազմաթիվ բժիշկներ, մարզիկներ, ուսանողներ և այլք։ Ունենք նաև պետական ծառայողներ։ Դեսպանություն-համայնք ակտիվ գործակցությունը մեր կարևոր ձեռքբերումներից է»,-տեղեկացրեց ՀՀ դեսպանը:
Նրա խոսքով՝ Սլովակիայում էլ բնակվում է մի քանի հարյուր հայ, կան մի շարք հաջողված գործարարներ, արվեստի գործիչներ, բժիշկներ։
