Մեխիկոյի «Հայկական ժամ» անունը կրող հուշարձանին հարող հրապարակում ապրիլի 23-ին կայացել հիշատակի միջոցառում՝ նվիրված Հայոց ցեղասպանության 102-րդ տարելիցին, որի ընթացքում տեղի ունեցավ ծաղկեպսակի զետեղում։ Այս մասին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ արտաքին գործերի նախարարության մամուլի, տեղեկատվության և հասարակայնության հետ կապի վարչությունից՝ հավելելով. «Մեքսիկայու մ ՀՀ դեսպան Արա Այվազյանը ներկաների առջև խոսեց Հայոց ցեղասպանության միջազգային ճանաչման և դատապարտման պատմության ու գործընթացի մասին։
Ելույթներով հանդես եկան Մեխիկոյի Հիշատակի և հանդուրժողականության թանգարանի ներկայացուցիչ Սոնյա Առաքելյանը և Միչիոական նահանգի հայ համայնքի ներկայացուցիչ Ժակ Սահակյանը։
Նրանք ընդգծեցին Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչման գործում համատեղ աշխատանքի և միասնականության կարևորությունը։ Ձեռնարկին ներկա էին Մեքսիկայի հայ համայնքի ներկայացուցիչներ, տեղացիներ, լրագրողներ։ Միջոցառման ավարտին հայ և մեքսիկացի երաժիշտներից բաղկացած քառյակը հանդես եկավ հայկական դասական կատարումներով։
Ապրիլի 24-ին Մեքսիկայի հեղինակավոր «El Universal» պարբերականում հրապարակվեց դեսպան Արա Այվազյանի «Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը, 102 տարի անց» խորագրով հոդվածը»։
