Հայաստանում մեկնարկեց Պետական բժշկական համալսարանի եւ Ուռուցքաբանության հայկական ասոցիացիայի նախաձեռնությամբ հրավիրված քաղցկեղը վերապրածների կոնգրեսը, որի ընթացքում ելույթ ունեցան Նորին Մեծություն Հորդանանի Արքայադուստր Դինա Մայրեդը, ով նաեւ Քաղցկեղի վերահսկման միջազգային միության (Union of International Cancer Control) նորանշանակ նախագահն է, ՀՊԲ Հ ռեկտոր Արմեն Մուրադյանը եւ այլք:

Բժշկական համալսարանի ռեկտորն ընդգծեց, թե ինչքան կարեւոր է դրսեւորել հաստատակամություն այս հիվանդության դեմ պայքարում:

«Այսօրվա մեր հանդիպման առարկան նվիրված է լինելու քաղցկեղից փրկվածներին: Այսօր այս հիվանդությունը իրենից ներկայացնում է բավականին երկարատեւ գործընթաց ոչ միայն հիվանդի, նրա հարազատների, հանրապետության համար, այլեւ ընդհանրապես բոլոր նրանց, ովքեր կարեկցանք են հայտնում եւ գթասիրտ են: Ամբողջ աշխարհի 150 երկիր մի կառույցում են միավորվել,  որպեսզի պայքարեն հիվանդության դեմ, եւ մեր հյուրը հենց այդ կառույցի նորընտիր նախագահն է: Այս հիվանդության հաղթահարման բանաձեւերն են առարկայական մոտեցումը եւ մեծ համբերությունը, անսահման սերը, որը պե տք է կարողանանք տալ այս հիվանդության դեմ պայքարողներին: Վերապրելով այս հիվանդությունը՝ կապված իր զավակի հետ, այսօր նա երջանիկ է եւ հպարտորեն հայտնում է, որ դա եղել է մեկ էջ ընտանիքի կյանքում»,-«Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ՝ ասաց Արմեն Մուրադյանը՝ հայտարարելով, որ գիտական խորհրդի որոշմամբ Դինա Մայրեդին շնորհվում է համալսարանի պատվավոր դոկտորի կոչում:

Հորդանանի Արքայադուստրը նշեց, որ չի ցանկացել Հայաստան այց կատարելու հնարավորությունը բաց թողնել ոչ միայն հիվանդության դեմ պայքարողներին, նրանց հարազատներին աջակցելու, Հայաստանում ոլորտի զարգացմանը նպաստելու, այլեւ Հորդանանում հայկական համայնքին եւ հայերին շատ մոտ լինելու համար:

«Ինձ համար մեծ պատիվ է ընդունել նման համբավ ունեցող համալսարանի կողմից շնորհված այս կոչումը եւ խոստանում եմ անել ամեն ինչ դրան արժանի լինելու համար: Ես հրաշալի երկու օր եմ անցկացրել Հայաստանում, չեմ կարող նկարագրել, թե ինչքան եմ տպավորված հայերի այսչափ հյուրասիրությամբ: Մենք սիրում ենք մեր հայկական համայնքը, մեզ մոտ շատ են հայկական անունները՝ Սարգիս, Հակոբ, ամեն ինչ «յան»-ով է ավարտվում: Ես քաղցկեղ վերապրածի ծնող եմ, եւ, կարծում եմ, դա ամենակարեւոր տիտղոսն է, որ ունեմ: Այցելել ենք հիվանդանոցներ, կենտրոններ, միայն դրականը կարող եÕ ´ ասել բժշկական անձնակազմի, այս ուղղությամբ մասնագիտացող ուսանողները հրաշալի են եւ հստակ քայլեր են անում դեպի առաջ»,- եզրափակեց Դինա Մայրեդը՝ եւս մեկ անգամ կոչ անելով չօգնել ծխախոտի արդյունաբերությամբ զբաղվողներին ներգրավել նոր սպառողների եւ պայքարել ծխելու դեմ, քանի որ այն ազդում է ոչ միայն թոքերի վրա:
