Ժնևում Ռասայական խտրականության դեմ պայքարի կոմիտեին ներկայացվեց ՀՀ զեկույցը

Ժնևում ապրիլի 27-28-ը տեղի ունեցավ Ռասայական խտրականության դեմ պայքարի կոմիտեին Հայաստանի պարբերական զեկույցի ներկայացումը։ ԱԳ նախարարի տեղակալ Աշոտ Հովակիմյանի գլխավորած պատվիրակության կազմում էին Արդարադատության փոխնախարար Վիգեն Քոչարյանը, ՀՀ կրթության և գիտության նախարարության և Ժնևի ՄԱԿ-ի գրասենյակում ՀՀ մշտական ներկայացուցչության աշխատակիցները։ Այս մասին «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ արտաքի ն գործերի նախարարության մամուլի, տեղեկատվության և հասարակայնության հետ կապի վարչությունից:
ՀՀ պատվիրակությունը ներկայացրեց Ռասայական խտրականության դեմ պայքարի կոնվենցիայի դրույթների իրագործմանն ուղղված քայլերը, ինչպես նաև պատասխաններ տվեց կոմիտեի անդամների բազմաթիվ հարցադրումներին։ Առանձնահատուկ շեշտվեց, որ Սահմանադրության և Ընտրական օրենսգրքի փոփոխությունների արդյունքում ազգային փոքրամասնությունների ներկայացուցիչները ՀՀ Ազգային ժողովում ստացան չորս պատգամավորական մանդատ։
Կոմիտեի անդամները գոհունակությամբ արձանագրեցին Հայաստանում ռասայական խտրականության դեմ պայքարի ուղղությամբ գրանցված առաջընթացը և ՀՀ կառավարության պատրաստակամությունը՝ շարունակական քայլեր ձեռնարկել կոնվենցիայի դրույթների լիակատար իրականացման ուղղությամբ։
ՄԱԿ-ի Ռասայական խտրականության հարցերով կոմիտեն վերահսկող մարմին է՝ կազմված 18 անկախ փորձագետներից: Կոմիտեն վերահսկում է Ռասայական խտրականության բոլոր ձևերի վերացման մասին միջազգայն կոնվենցիայի դրույթների իրագործման ընթացքը: Կոնվենցիային միացած պետությունները պարտավոր են պարբերաբար զեկույցներ ներկայացնել կոմիտեին կոնվենցիայի կատարման վերաբերյալ: Կոմիտեն ուսումնասիրում է յուրաքանչյուր զեկույցը և իր մտահոգություններն ու առաջարկությունները եզրափակիչ դիտարկումների տեսքով ներկայացնում է պետություններին: Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունը վավերացրել է Կոնվենցիան 1993թ ․ հունիսի 23-ին։ Կոմիտեի նախագահն է՝ Անաստեյշա Քրիկլին (Anastasia Crickley, Իռլանդիա), Հայաստանի հարցով զեկուցողն է՝ Նուրեդին Ամիրը (Noureddine Amir, Ալժիր):
