«Պարոն Ֆելգենգաուեր, Բաքվում մեկնարկել են Եվրոպական խաղերը, որոնցից հետո որոշ փորձագետներ գուժում են պատերազմի վերսկսման վտանգի մասին, հորդորում հայկական զինված ուժերին՝ նախապատրաստվել հնարավոր լայնամասշտաբ գործողությունների՝ հատկապես, երբ Ադրբեջանը դժգոհ է բանակցային գործընթացից եւ ԵԱՀԿ ՄԽ գործունեությունից: Ըստ Ձեզ՝ ավանդական օգոստոսյան լարվածություններից այն կողմ գործողություններ կլինե՞ն:
Բաքվում անցկացվող Եվրոպական խաղերից հետո կփոխվի իրավիճակը ԼՂ հակամարտության գոտում: Սկզբունքորեն չի կարելի բացառել Եվրոպական խաղերից հետո իրավիճակի սրում, մինչեւ անգամ լայնածավալ ռազմական գործողություններ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտության գոտում, հատկապես, եթե հաշվի առնենք, որ առավել ինտենսիվ սահմանային միջադեպեր այս հակամարտության գոտում տեղի են ունենում օգոստոս ամսին, ինչպես վերջին տարիների ընթացքում, ապա բարձր է հավանականությունը, որ կլինի նոր լարվածություն:
Ես հակված եմ մտածել, որ կլինի լարվածություն, գուցե ավելի ինտենսիվ, քան նախկինում, սակայն պնդումը, որ լարվածությունը կարող է տեղափոխվել հակամարտության շփման ողջ գիծ, ինձ համար ակնհայտ չէ: Նման լայնամասշտաբ գործողությունների համար նախ՝ պետք է շատ լավ պատրաստվել, իսկ դա ենթադրում է նախապատրաստական աշխատանքներ` ուժերի մոբիլիզացիա, համապատասխան ուժերի տեղակայում շփման ողջ գծում: Սակայն նման գործողություններ այսօր չկան: Առավել եւս, որ նման գործողությունները թաքցնելը հեշտ չէ ու չի կարելի, կողմերը կտեսնեն իրար պատրաստվելիս, իսկ այսօր, ըստ էության, կողմերը կարծես չեն նկատում, որ հակառակորդը պատրաստվում է, այսինքն` նման նախապատրաստություններ դեռ տեղի չեն ունենում, բայց բախումներ, լուրջ բախումներ կարող են լինել, իսկ լայնամասշտաբ գործողությունները միանգամից չէ, որ տեղի են ունենում, դրա համար անհրաժեշտ է հարձակողական դիրքերը նախապատրաստել, ինչը միանգամից նկատելի կլինի հակառակորդի կողմից»:
