Երևանում անցկացվեցին մայիսմեկյան երթեր

Հայաստանի պետական հիմնարկների, ՏԻՄ-երի ճյուղային արհմիությունը և Կոմունիստական կուսակցության ներկայացուցիչները Երևանում դուրս էին եկել մայիսմեկյան երթի՝ հանուն աշխատավորի շահերի և իրավունքների պաշտպանության:
«Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունը, համաձայն մեր Սահմանադրության, սոցիալական պետություն է, և սոցիալականը միշտ պետք է լինի առաջնային։ Իհարկե, տնտեսությունը պետք է զարգացնել, պետք է բիզնեսի համար պայմաններ ստեղծել, սակայն պայմանները չպետք է լինեն աշխատողների հաշվին։ Պետությունը պետք է վարի արդար հարկային քաղաքականություն»,- «Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ՝ նշված է երթի կազմակերպիչների տարածած հայտարարության մեջ: Երթի մասնակիցներն ընդգծում էին կառավարության ծրագրի առանցքային դրույթը՝ «Մ արդը գերագույն արժեքն է»։ Նրանք հորդորեցին կառավարությանը երբեք չմոռանալ այդ մասին և ամեն ինչ անել, Հայաստանի քաղաքացու համար:
ՀԿԿ-ն էլ թմբուկներով ու շեփորներով տոնական երթի էր դուրս եկել «Ուռա, կեցցե մայիսի մեկը, աշխատավորության օրը», «Կեցցե Կոմունիստական կուսակցությունը, կեցցե հայ գյուղացին, բանվորը» պաստառներով: «Կոմունիստների համար մայիսի 1-ն այնպիսի երևույթ է, այնպիսի գաղափար է, որ նշանակություն չունի՝ անկախության տարիներն են, թե խորհրդային, պետք է նշենք: Կոմունիստական կուսակցությունը միակ քաղաքական ուժն է, որ նշում է մայիսի 1-ը: Մենք հավատարիմ ենք մնացել և մեր գաղափարախոսությանը և սկզբունքներին»,- ասաց ՀԿԿ առաջնորդ Տաճատ Սարգսյանը` ավել ացնելով, որ իրենց երթին մասնակցում է շուրջ 5 հազար մարդ` հանրապետության բոլոր մարզերից:
Մայիսի 1-ն Աշխատանքի և աշխատավորի միջազգային օրն է: 1886 թվականի մայիսի 1-ին աշխատավորների մասնակցությամբբողոքի ալիք բարձրացավ ԱՄՆ-ի խոշոր արդյունաբերական քաղաքներից մեկում՝ Չիկագոյում, եղան բախումներ ոստիկանությանհետ: Բողոքի ակցիաների մասնակիցներից շատերը ձերբակալվեցին, եղան զոհեր և վիրավորներ: Ավելի ուշ՝ 1889 թվականին, Երկրորդ ինտերնացիոնալի փարիզյան կոնգրեսն ի հիշատակ Չիկագոյի դեպքերի՝ որոշում ընդունեց մայիսի 1-ին ամենամյա ցույցերանցկացնելու մասին: Առաջին անգամ Մայիսի 1-ը նշվել է 1890 թվականին մի շարք երկրներում: Այսօր այն նշվում է աշխարհÕ «ավելի քան 140 երկրում, այդ թվում, Հայաստանում:
