Ամբոխը ՀԱՀ նախագահին թույլ չի տվել ելույթ ունենալ մայիսմեկյան հանրահավաքի ժամանակ

«Հարավաֆրիկյան արհմիությունների կոնգրես»-ը մայիսմեկյան հանրահավաքի ժամանակ չեղարկել է բոլոր ելույթները՝ այդ թվում ՀԱՀ նախագահ Ջեյկոբ Զումայի ելույթը այն բանից հետո, երբ ամբոխը նախագահին դիմավորել է սուլոցներով։ Այս մասին հայտնում է news 24 լրատվական կայքը։
Միջոցառումը անցկացվում էր Բլումֆոնթեյն քաղաքում։ Դա նախագահի առաջին հրապարակային ելույթն էլ այն բանից հետո, երբ միության անդամները կոչ էին արել նրան հրաժարական տալ։
Պորտալի տեղեկություններով, հանրահավաքի մասնակիցները կատարում էին նախագահին քննադատող երգեր, այնուհետեւ սկսվել է ծեծկռտուք նախագահի կողմնակիցների ու հակառակորդների միջեւ։ COSATU-ի ներկայացուցիչները, որոնք Զումային հեռանալու կոչ էին արել, զինված էին մահակներով։ Ամբոխին հանգստացնել չի հաջողվել ու կազմակերպիչները ստիպված են եղել դադարեցնել միջոցառումը։ Բոլոր ելույթները՝ այդ թվում նախագահականը, չեղարկվել են։
Ավելի վաղ COSATU–ն պահանջել էր, որ նախագահը հրաժարական տա այն բանից հետո, երբ Standard & Poor գործակալության վարկանիշում երկրի վարկանիշը նվազել էր մինչեւ «աղբային» մակարդակ։ Հարավ Աֆրիկյան Հանրապետությունում հերթական նախագահական ընտրությունները նշանակված են 2019-ին։
