ՀՀ ԱԺ նախագահ Գալուստ Սահակյանը շնորհավորական ուղերձ է հղել Մամուլի ազատության համաշխարհային օրվա առթիվ: Այս մասին «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ ԱԺ հասարակայնության և տեղեկատվության միջոցների հետ կապերի վարչությունից: Ուղերձում ասվում է.
«Լրատվամիջոցների հարգելի ներկայացուցիչներ,
շնորհավորում եմ Մամուլի ազատության համաշխարհային օրվա առթիվ:
Ազատությունն ու մշակույթն այն երեւույթներն են, որոնք անհնար է չափել եւ որոնք անհրաժեշտ են յուրաքանչյուր երկրի ու ժողովրդի, յուրաքանչյուր պետության ու հասարակության համար: Լրատվական դաշտում ազատությունն ու մշակույթը գոյություն ունեն ոչ թե զուգահեռ, այլ միախառնված վիճակում: Եւ ցանկացած ոտնձգություն ազատ խոսքի հանդեպ ոտնձգություն է նաեւ մշակույթի հանդեպ, քանզի մամուլն ինքն էլ մշակույթ լինելով՝ նաեւ մշակույթ է ստեղծում: Միեւնույն ժամանակ, ազատ խոսքը զենքով ու բռնությամբ ճնշելը նույնչափ անընդունելի ու անթույլատրելի է, որչափ այն որպես զենք ու բռնության գործիք օգտագործելը:
Ավելի քան քառորդ դար ձեր՝ լրագրողներիդ ստեղծագործական միտքն ու խոսքն այլեւս ազատ են պարտադրանքից: Միակ պարտադրող ուժը ճշմարտությունն է, որն անհրաժեշտ է ոչ միայն լրատվական հասարակության մեջ: Իսկ ճշմարտությունը լիարժեք կարողանում է դրսեւորվել այն միջավայրում, որտեղ հնարավոր է մտածել ու գործել անկաշկանդ եւ ազատ, որտեղ կան արժանապատվության սթափ զգացում եւ իրավիճակի անաչառ գնահատում: Այդպիսի մթնոլորտում է ծնվում այն լրատվությունը, որն աջակցում ու ծառայում է առողջ քաղաքացիական հասարակություն եւ քաղաքական դաշտ, ուժեղ պետություն եւ բարե կեցիկ հասարակություն ունենալուն, այն լրատվությունը, որին սպասում եւ հավատում է քաղաքացին:
Մամուլը գոյություն ունի ոչ թե սիրվելու համար, այլ որպեսզի արտացոլի ու փոխի մեզ՝ պետությանը, հասարակությանն ու քաղաքացիներիս, որպեսզի մեզ դարձնի ավելի լավը, որպեսզի մեզ սովորեցնի երկխոսել, համերաշխ լինել, ընդհանուր լեզու գտնել եւ գիտակցել թե՛ միմյանց արժեքը, թե՛ պետականության կարեւորությունը:
Եւս մեկ անգամ շնորհավորելով Մամուլի ազատության համաշխարհային օրվա առթիվ՝ մաղթում եմ ձեզ, զանգվածային լրատվամիջոցների հարգելի ներկայացուցիչներ, առողջություն եւ խաղաղություն, լավատեսություն եւ բարեկեցություն»:
