«Խոստումը» և «Ռուանդա հյուրանոցը» ֆիլմերի օսկարակիր ռեժիսոր Թերի Ջորջը մայիսի 2-ին UCLA համալսարանում կայացած ընդունելության ընթացքում 5.000 ԱՄՆ դոլար պարգևավճարով մարտահրավերի կոչ է արել կինոգործիչներին ողջ աշխարհով մեկ՝ 60 վայրկյանում և առանց երաժշտության՝ պատմելու մարդու իրավունքների մասին իրենց համար կարևոր որևէ պատմություն:

«Իմ կարծիքով կինոն աղետն առերեսելու և խիղճը բացահայտելու հզորագույն միջոցն է: Միջոցը՝ ինքը, պայքար է լույսի ու ստվերի միջև», - «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ՝ ասում է հեղինակավոր ռեժիսորը սոցիալական լրատվամիջոցներում տեղ գտած տեսանյութում:

Մարտահրավերով մեկնարկեց Creative Armenia մշակութային նոր կազմակերպությունը։ Միջոցառումը համատեղորեն հյուրընկալվում էր Թերի Շվարցի (UCLA համալսարանի՝ Թատրոնի, կինոյի և հեռուստատեսության մասնաճյուղի դեկան) և դոկտոր Էրիկ Էսրաիլյանի («Խոստումը» ֆիլմի պրոդյուսեր, “Creative Armenia”-ի խորհրդատվական հարթակի անդամ) կողմից։ «Նմանօրինակ նախաձեռնություն ունենալը, որը հառնում է մեր պատմության մութ գլուխներից՝ շարժվելով դեպի լույսը, աննախադեպ է», - ասաց Էրիկ Էսրաիլյանը։

«Ջերմացնում է այն փաստը, որ այդ ամբողջը միավորվում է UCLA-ի հարկի տակ»։ «Անհամբերությամբ սպասելու ենք Creative Armenia-ի գործունեությանը, քանզի կազմակերպությունը առաջատար մշակութային դեր է խաղում մարդու իրավունքների, ժամանցի և ստեղծարար տեխնոլոգիաների խաչմերուկում», - հավելեց դեկան Շվարցը։ Միջոցառմանը ներկա էին նաև Creative Armenia-ի Խորհրդատվական հարթակի անդամներ Սերժ Թանգյանը (Գրեմիի մրցանակակիր երաժիշտ) և Կառլա Կարապետյանը (սոցիալական ազդեցության կինոռեժիսոր), ինչպես նաև Մարդու իրավունքների՝ «Խոստումը» ինստիտուտի, USC համալսարնի «Շոահ» հիմնադրամի, Jewish World Watch-ի, Մարդու իրավունքների՝ Մգրուբլյան կենտրոնի, Հայկական բար ասոցիացիայի, Ավրորա մրցանակաբաշխության, «Թումո» ստեղծարար տեխնոլոգիաների կենտրոնի, UCLA համալսարանի՝ Սոցիալական ազդեցության «Սքոլ» կենտրոնի ղեկավարությունները և UCLA համալսարանի՝ Ժամանակակից հայոց պատմության դեկան՝ Ռիչարդ Հովհաննիսյանը։ «Մենք մի նոր մշակութային կոալիցիայի ակունքներում ենք», - ասաց Կարին Հովհաննիսյանը՝ Creative Armenia-ի հիմնադիրը։ «Ու մենք հպարտ ենք՝ միասին կերտելու մի դինամիկ մշակութային ենթակառույց, որը կացահայտի տաղանդավոր արվեստագետների ու հնարավորություններ կստեղծի ազդեցիկ պատմություններ ստեղծելու համար այս թվային դարաշրջանում»։ «Գյուլբենկյան» հիմնադրամի, The Promise-ի և անհայտ մի բարերարի հետ համագործակցության արդյունքում մեկնարկած Creative Armenia-ն արտացոլում է hայ համայնքի՝ մարդու իրավունքների և ժամանցի բնագավառում աճող հետաքրքրությունը: «Խոստումը» ֆիլմը, որը վերջին շաբաթներին հայոց ցեղասպանության մասին պատմությունը վերհանեց մեծ էկրաններին, իսկական փոթորիկ առաջացրեց կադրից դուրս գտնվող՝ մարդու իրավունքների հարցերոÕ ¾ զբաղվող մշակութային գործիչների շրջանում՝ ներառյալ UCLA համալսարանում 20 միլիոն ԱՄՆ դոլարի ներդրումով «Խոստումը»՝ մարդու իրավունքների ինստիտուտի հիմնումը: Ֆիլմի ողջ շահույթը կփոխանցվի բարեգործությանը:
