Մոնտեվիդեոյում ուրուգվայցի պատմաբանները ներկայացրել են «Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը» գիրքը

Ուրուգվայի մայրաքաղաք Մոնտեվիդեոյում վերջերս տեղի է ունեցել «Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը» գրքի շնորհանդեսը։ Դրա հեղինակներ են հանդիսանում ուրուգվայցի պատմաբաններ Մարսելո Դեսենան եւ Անդրես Սերալտան, հաղորդում է LaRed21-ը։
Միջոցառմանը ներկա Զբոսաշրջության եւ սպորտի նախարար Լիլիամ Քեչիչյանը նշել է, որ գիրքը մեծ ներդրում է Ցեղասպանության միջազգային ճանաչման գործում։ Նրա խոսքով, այն մարդիկ, ովքեր ուզում են հասնել օսմանյան կառավարության իրագործած ողբերգության ճանաչմանը, պիտի պաշտպանեն հատուկ հանձնաժողովների ստեղծման գաղափարը, որոնք կզբաղվեն 1915-ին տեղի ունեցածի ուսումնասիրությամբ։
«Ակնհայտ է, որ Ցեղասպանություն է եղել։ Երեք միլիոն հայից ընդամենը մեկ միլիոնն է ողջ մնացել», - հիշեցրել է Քեչիչյանը։
Դեսենան եւ Սերալտան սկսել են Հայոց ցեղասպանության ուսումնասիրությամբ զբաղվել 2011 թվից եւ, ինչպես նշվել է շնորհանդեսին, գիրք գրելու հիմնական նպատակներից մեկն է եղել՝ բարձրացնել հանրության տեղեկացվածությունը պատմության այդ սարսափելի էջերի վերաբերյալ։ Հիշեցնենք, Հայոց ցեղասպանությունն առաջինը ճանաչել եւ դատապարտել է Ուրուգվայի խորհրդարանը՝ 1965 թվին։
