Վրաստանի խորհրդարանը իր աշնանային նստաշրջանում քննարկելու և քվեարկելու է սահմանադրական փոփոխությունների նախագիծը: Ի թիվս բազմաթիվ փոփոխությունների Մայր օրենքում կա ևս մեկ նոր դրույթ, որը շատ կարևոր է ջավախքցիների և Վրաստանի այլ շրջաններում ապրող հայերի համար, խոսքը վերաբերում է երկքաղաքացիության ինստիտուտի ներդրմանը:
Ըստ սահմանադրական փոփոխությունների նախագծի այլևս չկա որևէ սահմանափակում, ըստ որի Վրաստանի քաղաքացիները չեն կարող միաժամանակ լինել այլ երկրների քաղաքացի:
Նախագծում հստակ նշված է, որ Վրաստանի քաղաքացիները այլ երկրների քաղաքացիություն ձեռք բերելու դեպքում, չեն զրկվի Վրաստանի քաղաքացիությունից:
Սահմանադրական փոփոխությունների նախագծի արդեն ուղարկվել է «Ժողովրդավարություն՝ իրավունքի միջոցով» եվրոպական հանձնաժողով (Վենետիկի հանձնաժողով) փորձաքննության: Նախագծի ընդունումից հետո Վրաստանի իշխանություններին մնում է մշակել պարզեցված ընթացակարգ և տրամադրել քաղաքացիություն նրանց, ովքեր նախորդ տարիների ընթացքում այլ երկրի քաղաքացիություն ստանալու հետևանքով զրկվել էին Վրաստանի քաղաքացիությունից:
