«Ազգային ճակատից» Ֆրանսիայի նախագահի թեկնածու Մարին լե Պենը հայտարարել Է, որ մայիսի 7-ին զանգահարել Է «Հառաջ» շարժման առաջնորդ Էմանուել Մակրոնին՝ շնորհավորելու նրան նախագահական ընտրություններում տարած հաղթանակի առթիվ, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը:

«Ես զանգահարեցի Էմանուել Մակրոնին՝ շնորհավորելու նրան հաղթանակի առթիվ: Ես նրան հաջողություններ մաղթեցի, քանի որ ինձ համար գլխավորը Ֆրանսիայի գերագույն շահերն են»,- ասել Է լե Պենը՝ ելույթ ունենալով իր կողմնակիցների առջեւ: 
Նա «պատմական եւ ծանրակշիռ» Է որակել ընտրություններում իր գրանցած արդյունքը եւ շնորհակալություն Է հայտնել այն շուրջ 11 միլիոն ֆրանսիացիներին, որոնք իր օգտին քվեարկել են երկրորդ փուլում: Ընդսմին «Ազգային ճակատ» կուսակցության ղեկավարը խոստացել Է Մակրոնի շարժման դեմ պայքարել հունիսին կայանալիք խորհրդարանական ընտրություններում՝ իր կուսակցությունը համարելով «առաջին ընդդիմադիր ուժը երկրում»:
Ինչպես արդեն տեղեկացվել Է, «Հառաջ» շարժման առաջնորդ Էմանուել Մակրոնը հաղթանակ Է տարել Ֆրանսիայի նախագահական ընտրությունների երկրորդ փուլում՝ հավաքելով ձայների 66,06 տոկոսը: Մակրոնի օգտին քվեարկել Է 20,7 մլն ընտրող: Նրա մրցակցուհին՝ «Ազգային ճակատի» առաջնորդ Մարին լե Պենը, ստացել Է ձայների 33,94 տոկոսը: Ընդամենը նրա օգտին իրենց ձայները տվել են ավելի քան 10,6 մլն ընտրողներ: 
Երկրորդ փուլում ընտրություններին ընդհանուր մասնակցութունը կազմել Է 74,62 տոկոս: Ընդ որում ընտրողների 6,33 տոկոսը կամ 3 մլն մարդ չլրացված քվեաթերթիկներ Է նետել քվեատուփերի մեջ՝ չցանկանալով քվեարկել թեկնածուներից որեւԷ մեկի օգտին: Քվեաթերթիկների եւս 2,24 տոկոսը անվավեր Է ճանաչվել, հաղորդել Է «Ինտերֆաքս»-ը:
