Հաճախ տղամարդիկ տարիքի հետ չեն նկատում այն փոփոխությունները, որոնք տեղի են ունենում իրենց օրգանիզմում: Այդ փոփոխություններից են՝ հոգնածությունը, նյարդայնությունը, հիշողության թուլացումը, սեռական ակտիվության նվազումը, ևայլն: Արտաքնապես տղամարդկանց կլիմաքսը կարող է արտահատվել մաշկի չորության, կնճիռների առաջացման, դեմքի մազածածկույթի աճի դանդաղեցման տեսքով: Հաճախ են հանդիպում նաև դեպքեր, երբ տղամարդն ավելորդ քաշ է հավաքում որովայնի և գոտկատեղի շրջանների ճարպակալման արդյունքում: Այսպիսով տղամարդկանց մոտ վերանում է նախաձեռնողականություն, ֆիզիկական և մտավոր ակտիվություն ցուցաբերելու ցանկությունն ու կարողությունը, և նրանք դադարում են մանագիտական և հոգևոր աճ գրանցել:

Այս շրջանում, երբ սկսվում են արտահայտվել տղամարդկանց կլիմաքսի հոգեբանական կողմերը, հնարավոր է`

  • նորությունների դժվարությամբ  յուրացում
  • հիշողությանը և ուշադրության կենտրոնացման թուլություն
  • անբացատրելի վախի զգացողություն
  • դեպրեսիաների առաջացում
  • առատ քրտնարտադրություն

Հարկ է նշել, որ սեռական ֆունկցիաները 50-ից հետո որոշակի փոփոխությունների են ենթարկվում, ինչը կարող է սեփական թերարժեքության զգացողության պատճառ հանդիսանալ: Նվազում է նաև սեռական ցանկությունը, առավոտյան էրեկցիան, սեռական ակտի տևողությունը: Որպես կանոն այս տարիքի տղամարդիկ իրենց սեքսուալ հետաքրքրության նվազումը արդարացնում են աշխատանքային ծանրաբեռնվածությամբ, սթրեսներով և ընտանեկան հոգսերով:

Տղամարդկանց կլիմաքսն ու տեստոստերոնը

Տղամակդնաց մեծամասնությունը նախընտրում է ուշադրություն չդարձնել կլիմաքսի վերոնշյալ նախանշաններին, քանի որ համարում են, որ դրանք անխուսափելի տարիքային փոփոխություններ են։ Նրանք հաճախ ամաչում են այս խնդիրների մասին բարձրաձայնել նույնիսկ մտերիմների հետ։ Շատ կարևոր է իմանալ, որ ծերացման արտաքին դրսևորումները օրգանիզմի ներքին վիճակի հայելային արտացոլումն են։ Այս տարիքում հաճախ բարձրանում է խոլեստերինի և շաքարի մակարդակը արյան մեջ, արդյունքում առաջացնելով՝ աթերոսկլերոզ, շաքարային դիաբետ և զարկերակային ճնշումը։ Ընդհանուր արմամբ առաջանում է կենսական օրգանների արյան մատակարարման խանգարում և թթվածնային քաղց։

Ապացուցված է, որ ծերության նախանշանները տղամարդկանց և կանանց մոտ կապված են հորմոնների մակարդակի իջեցման հետ: Տղամարդկանց կարևորագույն հորմոնի՝ տեստոստերոնի նվազումը արյան մեջ հանդիսանում է կլիմաքսի գլխավոր պատճառնը։ Հետևաբար, տեստոստերոնի փոխլրացումը հիմնական բուժման եղանակն է։ Այս բուժումը անհատական է և կարող է ամբողջությամբ լուծել վերոնշյալ խնդիրը հիվանդների մոտ:
