էդուարդ Շարմազանովը Երևանի քաղաքապետի ընտրությունները համարում է և քաղաքային, և քաղաքական ընտրություններ: «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ` Տարոն Մարգարյանին սատարող 140 ՀԿ-ների համաժողովին հնչեցրած ելույթի ժամանակ Հայաստանի հանրապետական կուսակցության կենտրոնական ընտրական շտաբի պետ Էդուարդ Շարմազանովն ասաց, որ քաղաքական դաշտում դրանց վերաբերյալ կա դիսկուրս:
«Պետք է ասեմ, որ այս ընտրությունները և քաղաքային, և քաղաքական են: Քաղաքական, քանի որ Երևանն ավելին է, քան ընդամենը քաղաք: Երևանը մեր սրտի մայրաքաղաքն է, Երևանում տիրող ցանկացած խնդիր յուրաքանչյուր հայի խնդիրն է, քանի որ Երևանում են միավորվում աշխարհի տարբեր քաղաքներից եկած հայերի սրտերը, Երևանն է համայն հայության մայրաքաղաքը: Շնորհակալ եմ ձեզ, որ դուք անտարբեր չեք Երևանի վաղվա օրվա հանդեպ, այն ելույթները, այն խոստումները, այն օժանդակությունը, որը մենք զգում ենք ձեզանից մեր քաղաքապետ Տարոն Մարգարյանի համար` շատ պարտավորեցնող է : Ես պատիվ եմ ունեցել 2013 թվականին գլխավորել Տարոն Մարգարյանի նախընտրական շտաբը, և երբ համեմատում ենք այն առաջնահերթությունները, որոնք կային այն ժամանակ և հիմա, կարող ենք արձանագրել, որ Երևանում կան թերություններ, խնդիրներ, բայց մեր քաղաքապետի և մեր հանրապետական պրոֆեսիոնալ թիմի մասնակցությամբ կարողացել ենք հիմնականում մեր բոլոր խոստումները իրականացնել»,- ասաց Շարմազանովն` ընդգծելով, որ դա է այն վստահությունը, որի համար խնդրում են մայիսի 14-ին միահամուռ կերպով քվեարկել հանուն հոգևոր, ուժեղ, համերաշխ ու քրիստոնյա Երևանի, որը համա յն հայության մայրաքաղաքն է:
