Սննդի մեջ հակաօքսիդանտների օգտագործումը նպաստում Է քաղցկեղային ուռուցքների, մասնավորապես, չարորակ մելանոմայի աճին: Դա, պարզել են Շվեդիայի Գյոթեբորգ քաղաքում գտնվող Սալգրենի ակադեմիայի գիտնականները:

Գիտափորձերն անցկացրել են մկների վրա, որոնց տալիս Էին հակաօքսիդանտներ պարունակող սննդային հավելում, ինչի պատճառով մաշկային նորագոյացությունների զարգացումը նրանց մոտ ընթանում Էր ավելի արագ տեմպերով: Ինչ վերաբերում Է մաշկի քաղցկեղի առավել տարածված տարատեսակի՝ չարորակ մելանոմայի հետ կապված տվյալներին, ապա մկների վրա կատարված փորձերի ընթացքում ստացված տեղեկությունները հաստատվել են մարդկային բջիջների վրա կատարված հետազոտություններով:

Գիտնականների հետազոտությունը ցույց Է տվել, որ հակաօքսիդանտները, անտարակույս, առողջ բջիջները պաշտպանում են ազատ ռադիկալների կործանանար ներգործությունից, բայց երբ ուռուցքն արդեն առաջացել Է, դրանք նպաստում են նաեւ քաղցկեղային բջիջների պահպանմանը:

«Անցկացված հետազոտությունը, ինչպես նաեւ 90-ական թվականների ընդգրկուն կլինիկական ուսումնասիրությունները, երբ դեռ հասկանալի չԷր, թե ինչու Է հակաօքսիդանտներով բուժում ստացած մարդկանց մոտ հիվանդությունն ավելի արագ զարգանում, ցույց են տալիս, որ եթե քաղցկեղն արդեն առաջացել Է կամ դրա լուրջ նախադրյալներ կան, անհրաժեշտ Է խուսափել հակաօքսիդանտներ պարունակող սննդային հավելումներ օգտագործելուց,-ասել Է հետազոտության մասնակիցներից մեկը՝ Բերգեն:-Հակառակ դեպքում ուռուցքը կարող Է աճել ու տարածվել ավելի արագ»:

Մեծ քանակությամբ հակաօքսիդանտներ են պարունակում մրգերն ու հատապտուղները, բանջարեղենի առանձին տեսակներ, ինչպես նաեւ կակաոն, կանաչ թեյը եւ կարմիր գինին, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
