Մայիսի 14-ին նախորդ տարի Արցախում զոհված Մանվել Գևորգյանի ծննդյան օրն է։ Մանվելն այսօր կդառնար 20 տարեկան։ Ապրիլի 14-ին զոհված Մանվել Գևորգյանը ծառայում էր Մարտունիում։ Մանվելը ծնվել էր 1997թ. մայիսի 14-ին, զոհվել՝ իր ծննդյան օրվանից ուղիղ մեկ ամիս առաջ։ Սովորում էր Ֆիզիկական կուլտուրայի հայկական պետական ինստիտուտում։
Մանվելի մայրը՝ Նաիրա Գևորգյանը, «168 Ժամին» պատմել էր, որ Մանվելը Զինված ուժեր զորակոչվել էր 2015թ. հուլիսի 7-ին. «Ամեն ինչում առաջինն էր։ Ամեն պարագայում պետք է առաջինը լիներ։ Նույնն էլ՝ զորակոչվելիս։ Առավոտյան ժամը 8-ին բոլորը պետք է զինկոմիսարիատում լինեն, Մանվելը մեզ ժամը 7-ից տարավ զինկոմիսարիատ։ Պետք է առաջինը լիներ։
Տրամադրությունը շատ լավ էր, պարզապես իր այդ անհանգիստ բնավորությունն էր, որ առաջինը պիտի լիներ։ Ավտոբուս առաջինն ինքը բարձրացավ։ Տրամադրությունը շատ լավ էր, երբեք չէր խուսափում ծառայությունից։ Հակառակը՝ բազմաթիվ ծրագրեր ուներ. վճարովի համակարգում էր սովորում, ասում էր՝ այնպես եմ գալու, որ ինստիտուտն ինձ պարտք մնա։ Իրենց ամբիոնի վարիչն ասաց՝ Մանվելն այնպես արեց, որ մենք ամբողջ կյանքում իրեն պարտք մնացինք… Մանվելը մեզ համար արդեն ծնված օրվանից հերոս էր. յուրահատուկ ունակություններով երեխա էր։
Մանվելը 18 գարուն ապրեց, բայց այնքան բան հասցրեց, որ հավանաբար շատ քչերին է հաջողվում։ Զոհվեց իր ծննդյան օրվանից մեկ ամիս առաջ, անգամ օրը չփոխվեց»։
