Ավստրիայում ՀՀ դեսպանությունը մասնակցել է  Զալցբուրգի համալսարանի Աստվածաբանության ֆակուլտետում մայիսի 12-ին կայացած «Հայագիտության օր» խորագրով գիտական կոնֆերանսին: Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ արտաքին գործերի նախարարության մամուլի, տեղեկատվության եւ հասարակայնության հետ կապի վարչությունից, այն կազմակերպել էր Զալցբուրգի համալսարանի քրիստոնեական Արևելքի ուսումնասիրո ւթյան կենտրոնը՝ հայագիտության ամբիոնի վարիչ Յասմին Դում-Թրագուտի գլխավորությամբ և Ավստրիայում ՀՀ դեսպանության հետ գործակցությամբ:

Գիտաժողովը նվիրված էր Հայաստանի և Ավստրիայի միջև դիվանագիտական հարաբերությունների հաստատման 25-ամյակին: Համալսարանի ռեկտորի անունից բացման խոսքով հանդես եկավ պրոռեկտոր Ֆաթմա Ֆերեյրա-Բրիզման, ով ողջունեց գիտաժողովի մասնակիցներին և ունկնդիրներին և ներկայացրեց Զալցբուրգի համալսարանի կողմից քրիստոնեական Արևելքի ուսումնասիրությանը և, մասնավորապես, հայագիտության ուղղությամբ տարվող հետևողական քաղաքականությունը: Այնուհետև, ՀՀ դեսպանության ներկայացուցիչը ներկաներին փոխանցեց Ավստրիայում ՀՀ դեսպան Արման Կի րակոսյանի ուղերձը, որում ՀՀ դեսպանը շնորհակալություն էր հայտնել ինչպես համալսարանի ղեկավարությանը՝ հայագիտության նկատմամբ հատուկ ուշադրություն ցուցաբերելու, այդպես էլ այդ գիտական հավաքն իր հյուրընկալ տանիքի տակ ընդունելու համար:

ՀՀ դեսպանը հատուկ առանձնացրել էր հայագիտության ոլորտում բազմաբովանդակ գիտական նախագծերի մեջ առանձնահատուկ ակտիվությամբ աչքի ընկնող պրոֆեսոր Յասմին Դում-Թրագուտի՝ եվրոպական հայագիտության մեջ ունեցած մեծ ներդրումը:

Գիտաժողովին զեկուցումներով հանդես եկան գիտնականներ, հետազոտողներ Ավստրիայի և եվրոպական այլ երկրների տարբեր համալսարաններից, ԱՄՆ-ից (Միչիգանի համալսարան), Ավստրալիայից (Սիդնեյի համալսարան), ինչպես նաև Զալցբուրգի համալսարանում գտնվող ԵՄ «Erasmus+» դասախոսների փոխանակման ծրագրով ԵՊՀ-ի գործուղված արևելագիտական ֆակուլտետի դասախոսներ, որոնք իրենց ելույթներում արծարծեցին հայագիտական թեմաների լայն շրջանակ:

Գիտական քննարկումների ավարտից հետո աստվածաբանական ֆակուլտետի մատուռում Վիեննայի Սուրբ Հռիփսիմե եկեղեցու քահանա տեր Անդրեաս Իսախանյանը մատուցեց հայկական ժամերգության կարգ՝ հայկական հոգևոր երգերի ուղեկցությամբ: Գիտաժողովի մասնակիցների և ունկնդիրների համար Ավստրիայում ՀՀ դեսպանության անունից կազմակերպվեց ընդունելություն:
