Ամերիկացի կինոդերասան Ջոնի Դեփն Էկրանին մարմնավորելու Է Էքսցենտրիկ ծրագրավորող Ջոն Մաքքաֆին, որն ավելի հայտնի Է որպես McAfee հակավիրուսային ծրագրային ապահովման մշակող ընկերության հիմնադիր: Նրա մասին պլանավորվում Է ֆիլմ նկարահանել, որը կկրի  «Ջունգլիների արքան» անվանումը: Այդ մասին հայտնել Է The Hollywood Reporter հանդեսը:
 
Ապագա կինոնկարը պատկանում Է «սեւ կատակերգությունների» ժանրին: Որպես սյուժե Է ընտրվել Wired մասնագիտացված հանդեսի հոդվածը, որում պատմվում Էր, թե ինչպես Է Մաքքաֆին վաճառել իր ստեղծած ընկերությունը եւ մեկնել մենակյաց կյանք վարելու Բելիզի ջունգլիներում: Ժապավենի սցենարը հանձնարարվել Է գրել Սքոթ Ալեքսանդերին եւ Լարի Կարացեւսկուն, որոնք կշարունակեն «Էդ Վուդ» ֆիլմի նկարահանումներում (1994 թ.) սկսված համագործակցությունը, որի գլխավոր դերերում հանդես են եկել Դեփը եւ Մարտին Լանդաուն:  
 
Ռեժիսորներ են ընտրվել Գլեն Ֆիքարան եւ Ջոն Ռեքուան, որոնք նկարահանել են «Այդ հիմար սերը» (2011 թ.) ժապավենը՝ Սթիվ Քարելի, Ռայան Հոսլինգի Ջուլիանա Մուրի եւ Էմմա Սթոունի մասնակցությամբ: 
Մաքքաֆին ծնվել Է 1945 թվականի սեպտեմբերին Մեծ Բրիտանիայում տեղակայված ԱՄՆ-ի ռազմակայանում, նա դաստիարակվել Է Միացյալ Նահանգների Վիրջինիայի նահանգում: 
 
Տաղանդավոր ծրագրավորողը կարիերան սկսել Է օդանագնացության եւ տիեզերական տարածության ուսումնասիրման  ԱՄՆ-ի ազգային վարչությունում, այնուհետեւ աշխատել Է մի քանի մասնավոր ընկերություններում՝ մինչեւ 1987 թվականին սեփական ֆիրմայի հիմնումը: 1994 թվականին նա McAfee-ն վաճառել Է Intel միկրոպրոցեսորների արտադրողին: Ֆիրման ավելի ուշ անվանափոխվել Է, սակայն նրա արտադրանքը մինչ այժմ թողարկում Է McAfee ապրանքանիշով:  
 
Մաքքաֆիի կարողությունը 2007 թվականին աճել Է մինչեւ 100 մլն դոլար: Շուտով ծավալված գլոբալ ֆինանսական ճգնաժամը զգալի վնաս Է հասցրել ձեռնարկատիրոջը, որը մի քանի տարով մեկնել Է Բելիզ, բայց ստիպված Է եղել ԱՄՆ վերադառնալ 2013 թվականին իշխանությունների հետ ունեցած մի շարք կոնֆլիկտներից հետո: Անցյալ տարի ծրագրավորողը ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահի պաշտոնի համար իր թեկնածությունն Էր առաջադրել Լիբերտարիանական կուսակցությունից, բայց նախընտրական մրցարշավի առաջին փուլում զիջեց Նյու Մեքսիկոյի նահանգի նախկին նահանգապետ Հերի Ջոնսոնին: 
 
53-ամյա Դեփը երեք անգամ «Օսկար» մրցանակի Է անվանակարգվել «Տղամարդու լավագույն դերի» համար՝ 2004 թվականին «Կարիբյան ծովի ծովահենները. Սեւ մարգարտի նզովքը» ֆիլմի, 2005 թվականին՝ «Կախարդական երկիր» կինոնկարի եւ 2008 թվականին՝ «Սուինի Թոդ, դեւ-վարսավիրը՝ Ֆլիթ-սթրիթից» ժապավենի համար: 
Ընդամենն իր կարիերայի ընթացքում նա ստացել Է ավելի քան 65 կինոմրցանակ, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
