«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.
Մեր հյուրն է Թեհրանի հայոց թեմի առաջնորդ Գերաշնորհ Տեր Սեպուհ արքեպիսկոպոս Սարգսյանը
– Սրբազան հայր, մի քանի օրից Իրանում նախագահական ընտրություններ են: Հայ համայնքը կողմնորոշվե՞լ է, նախընտրելի թեկնածու ունի՞:
– Գիտեք, մեր ժողովուրդը միշտ դրական չեզոքություն է պահպանել: Ես` որպես թեմի առաջնորդ, երբևէ չեմ կողմնորոշել` քվեարկելու այս կամ այն թեկնածուի օգտին: Եվ որպես Իրանի քաղաքացի` հայ համայնքի յուրաքանչյուր անդամ ազատ է իր հայեցողությամբ իր քվեն տալ այս կամ այն թեկնածուին: Բայց նաև ասեմ, որ մեր պարագայում որ թեկնածուն էլ հաջողի, պետության վերաբերմունքը հայության նկատմամբ չի փոխվի: Որովհետև նրանք գիտեն` հայերն աշխատասեր են, հայերը հավատարիմ են, որպես քրիստոնյաներ` պարկեշտ քաղաքացիներ են, և գիտեն, որ մեր ներդրումը մշակույթի, արվեստի բնագավառներում անգնահատելի է: Հետևաբար, մեր ժողովրդի համար մտահոգություն չէ, թե որ թեկնածուն կհաղթի:
– Իսկ Դուք կամ համայնքի ներկայացուցիչները թեկնածուների հետ հանդիպե՞լ եք, փորձե՞լ եք պարզել հայկական հարցերի նկատմամբ նրանց դիրքորոշումը:
– Ոչ, նախընտրական արշավի ժամանակ հանդիպումներ չեն եղել: Բայց եթե այս ընթացքում թեկնածուներն իրենք հետաքրքրություն ցուցաբերեն, մենք կընդառաջենք և կհանդիպենք: Սակայն ինքներս նախաձեռնող չենք եղել:
– Իսկ Դուք տեղյա՞կ եք` Իրանի ժողովուրդն ինչպե՞ս է տրամադրված: Նախագահի ո՞ր թեկնածուի հաղթանակն է առավել հավանական համարվում:
– Երկու գլխավոր հոսանք կա` պահպանողականները և, այսպես կոչված, բարկարգչականները: Ու հենց այս հոսանքների շուրջն են համախմբված մարդիկ: Հետևաբար, դժվար է ասել, թե ժողովուրդն ինչպե՞ս կկողմնորոշվի: Բայց մեկ բանում համոզված եմ`նույնիսկ Իրանի հոգևոր առաջնորդն ընտրությունների նախօրյակին բացահայտորեն չի ասի, թե ընտրեք այս կամ այն թեկնածուին: Նա ասում է` ժողովուրդն ազատ է, ինքը պետք է դատի և ըստ այդմ իր թեկնածուին ընտրի:
– Այսինքն` իր բնույթվ կրոնական լինելով հանդերձ` Իրանը, այնուամենայնիվ, քաղաքական ազատություն է տալիս իր քաղաքացիներին:
– Այո:
– Այդ օրը` մայիսի 19–ին, նաև Թեհրանի ավագանու ընտրություններ են լինելու: Որքան գիտեմ` երեք հայ թեկնածու է առաջադրվել: Հաղթելու նրանց հնարավորություններն ինչպիսի՞ն են:
– Մենք ուզում ենք հուսալ, որ երեքն էլ կհաջողեն: Բայց թե ժողովուրդը ձայնը ում կտա, պարզ կլինի ընտրություններից հետո: Համենայնդեպս, համայնքն իր ուժերի ներածին չափով աջակցում է նրանց:
– Իսկ որքանո՞վ է կարևոր Թեհրանի ավագանիում հայ ներկայացուցիչ ունենալը:
– Որևէ մեկ տեղ հայ թեկնածուների ներկայությունը օրհնություն է: Անշուշտ, չենք ակնկալում, որ հրաշքներ կգործեն: Բայց այդ միջավայրում լինելը, նրանց մասնակցությունը քաղաքական մթնոլորտի ձևավորմանը, ինքնին ձեռքբերում են: Առավել ևս, եթե հանկարծ հայության հետ կապված որևէ հարց լինի, մենք կկարողանանք լիովին ապավինել նրանց աջակցությանը:
