Հայոց ցեղասպանության զոհերի հիշատակը հավերժացնող Ծիծեռնակաբերդի հուշահամալիր այցելությունից եւ Հայոց ցեղասպանության թանգարան-ինստիտուտի ցուցանմուշներին ծանոթանալուց հետոՖրանսիայի եվրոպական հարցերի պետքարտուղար Հարլեմ Դեզիրըխոստովանում է, որ հոգին տակնուվրա է եղել, և լսած պատմություններից ինքը ցնցվել է:
Դեզիրը, «Արմենպրես»-ի հարցին ի պատասխան, շեշտում է, որ Հայաստան այցելելով չէր կարող չգալ Ծիծեռնակաբերդի հուշահամալիր, հատկապես, երբ այս տարի լրացել է Հայոց ցեղասպանության 100-րդ տարելիցը, եւ իր երկրի նախագահը` Ֆրանսուա Օլանդը հենց այդ վայրում է ոգեկոչել նրանց հիշատակը:
«Փաստագրական տեղեկությունների շնորհիվ նախ ծանոթացանք այդ տարածաշրջանում ապրող մարդկանց կենսակերպին, տեղեկացանք մարտիրոսության ու նախճիրի մասին, որ տեղի ունեցավ սկսած 19-րդ դարից: Հետո արդեն վերջնակետում եղավ երիտթուրքերի կազմակերպած ցեղասպանությունը: Ինչ-որ մի տեղ այս ամենը նաեւ միջազգային հանրության անտարբերության հետեւանք է: Չնայած բազում դիվանագետների, մտավորականների վկայություններին, աշխարհը թույլ տվեց այդ ցեղասպանությունը: Սա մարդկության պատմության մեջ առաջին ցեղասպանությունն է` կազմակերպված մեթոդաբար ողջ պետու թան կողմից` վարչական ապարատի ու բանակի ներգրավվածությամբ: Գաղափարախոսությունը մեկն էր` ոչնչացնել մի ամբողջ ազգ, ոչնչացնել նրա մշակույթը»,- ասաց Դեզիրը:
«Արմենպրես»-ի հարցին, թե արդյոք այսօր Մերձավոր Արեւելքում տեղի ունեցող իրադարձությունները չե՞ն փաստում, որ մարդկության դեմ հանցագործությունների կանխարգելման միակ տարբերակը կատարված ցեղասպանությունների ճանաչումն ու դատապարտումն է, Դեզիրն ասաց, որ կատարվածի հիշողությունը պետք է վառ պահել, քանի որ այն համամարդկային նշանակություն եւ հնչեղություն ունի:
«Մարդկությունը չկարողացավ դասեր քաղել Հայոց ցեղասպանությունից, եւ այսօր տեղի է ունենում այն, ինչ տեղի է ունենում: Հենց այս պատճառով հիշողությունը վառ պահելու աշխատանքը շատ կարեւոր է եւ համամարդկային հնչեղություն ու նշանակություն ունի: Պետք է շարունակել պայքարը բոլոր երկրներում` Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչման ուղղությամբ, այդ թվում, անշուշտ, նաեւ Թուրքիայում: Թուրքիան պետք է առերեսվի իր հիշողության հետ, ճիշտ այնպես, ինչպես Գերմանիան: Սա շատ կարեւոր է հաշտեցման համար եւ հենց սա է ֆրանսիայի ուղերձի իմաստը: Մենք բոլոր երկրներում հÕ �արավորության սահմաններում արտահայտվում ենք հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչման օգտին»,- վերջում ասաց Հարլեմ Դեզիրը:
