Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Գարեգին Բ Ծայրագույն Պատրիարք և Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսը շնորհավորել է Ազգային ժողովի նորընտիր պատգամավորներին 6-րդ գումարման առաջին նիստի առիթով՝ Հայրապետական ողջույնն ու օրհնությունը բերելով նրանց: Կաթողիկոսն իր խոսքում նշեց, որ ԱԺ դերակատարությունը պետական կառավարման համակարգում այսուհետ էականորեն ընդլայնվում է՝ պայմանավորված Սահմանադրական փոփոխությունների արդյունքում խորհրդարանական կառավարման անցնելու հանգամանքով:

«Առավել մեծ լիազորություններով ու իրավասություններով օժտված բարձրագույն մարմին որպես՝ Ազգային ժողովը ստանձնում է նաև ավելի մեծ պատասխանատվություն մեր երկրի ու ժողովրդի կյանքում մեր ներկայի ու ապագայի հանդեպ, մեր պետականության կայացման և մեր երկրում վերափոխումների իրականացման ճանապարհին: Ազգային ժողովի կողմից կարևոր քայլեր են ձեռնարկվել՝ ստեղծելու օրենսդրական հիմքերը իրավական պետության ու քաղաքացիական հասարակության ձևավորման, մեր երկրում տնտեսության, գիտության, մշակույթի զարգացման համար: Այս տարիներին ջանքեր են ներդրվել ն աև՝ ապահովելու բարենպաստ միջավայր, հոգևոր և ազգային-եկեղեցական կյանքի զորացման համար: Բոլոր ձեռքբերումներով հանդերձ, մեր կյանքից, սակայն, դեռևս թոթափված չեն խնդիրներն ու դժվարությունները: Ծանրակշիռ ջանքեր պահանջող ուղի պետք է անցնենք՝ կերտելու մեր ժողովրդի բարօր կյանքը, ապահովելու խաղաղությունը մեր սահմաններում, պաշտպանելու մեր ժողովրդի իրավունքներն ու իրագործելու ազգային մեր իղձերը:

Մեծարգո պատգամավորներ,

Բարձրագույն օրենսդիր մարմնում դուք կոչված եք մեր երկրին ու հավատավոր ժողովրդին ծառայելու մեծ ու պատասխանատու առաքելության: Օրենքները, որոնք պետք է ընդունվեն այս բարձր մարմնում, պիտի ամրացնեն ու առաջընթաց բերեն մեր հասարակական կյանքին, դառնան հարազատ հայելին մեր ինքնության, մեր արժեքների, արտահայտեն մեր ժողովրդի իղձերը, ամրապնդեն ազգային մեր համերաշխությունն ու միասնությունը: Խորհրդարանը նաև կարևոր հարթակ է, որտեղ բազմակարծությունը, մտքերի ու նախաձեռնությունների բազմազանությունը, ծնունդ առած նախանձասեր ու նախանձախնդիր նույն ոգո ւց, առավել պիտի ընդլայնեն մեր երկրի զարգացման հեռանկարները: Հայացքների ու տեսակետների տարբերությունները, սակայն, երբեք չպիտի դառնան հակառակությունների ու անհանդուրժողականության՝ խոչընդոտելով Ազգային ժողովի արդյունավետ առաքելությունը:

Ի դեպ է այսօր հիշել Ներսես Շնորհալու պատգամը. «Միություն ի կարևորս, ազատություն հեկբայականս և սեր համենայնի»: Հավատարմորեն հետևեք մեծ հայրապետի այս հորդորին, պահպանեք միությունը կարևոր գործերում, ազատությունը՝ երկրորդականներում և սեր ամեն ինչում: Մեր մաղթանքն է, որ համերաշխ գործակցությամբ միավորեք ձեր ջանքերն ու նվիրումը հանուն մեր հայրենիքի ու ժողովրդի խաղաղ, լուսավոր ու բարի կյանքի: Աղոթում ենք, որ Աստված զորացնի ձեզ հայրենասեր ոգով, պարգևի եռանդ ու կորով՝ մնայուն ձեռքբերումներ ձեր բարձր առաքելության մեջ:

Հարուցյալ մեր Տիրոջ շնորհներն ու հաղթական Սուրբ Խաչի պահպանությունն ենք հայցում ձեզ ամենքիդ և Սուրբ հոգու առաջնորդությունը»,-նշեց Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսը:

Նրա գլխավորությամբ ԱԺ պատգամավորները հոտընկայս Տերունական աղոթքն են ասել՝ բարի ընթացք ու հաջողություններ հայցելով Ազգային ժողովի աշխատանքներին:
