Եգիպտոսում հսկողության տակ են առնելու բնակչության աճը, որը եռակի բարձր Է, քան Չինաստանում

Եգիպտոսի կառավարությունը ձեռնամուխ Է լինում ծնելիության նկատմամբ հսկողության ծրագրի ուսումնասիրմանը: Այդ մասին հայտարարել Է արաբական հանրապետության նախագահ Աբդել Ֆաթահ աս Սիսին մայիսի 17-ին երկրի առաջատար ԶԼՄ-ների գլխավոր խմբագիրներին տված հարցազրույցում:
«Կառավարությունը բնակչության աճի հսկման ծրագրերի, հետազոտությունների եւ օրենքների ուսումնասիրմանը ձեռնամուխ Է լինում այն բանից հետո, երբ տարեկան ծնվածների թիվը հասնում Է երկուսուկես միլիոնի»,-Եգիպտոսի ղեկավարի խոսքը մեջբերում Է «Ալ-Ահբար» թերթի պորտալը:
Եգիպտոսի նախագահի խոսքով՝ «բնակչության աճի այս տեմպը եռակի բարձր Է, քան  Չինաստանում»: 
Ավելի վաղ Եգիպտոսի վարչապետ Շերիֆ Իսմայիլն ընտանեկան զույգերին կոչ Է արել սահմանափակվել երկու երեխա ունենալով՝ տնտեսական ճգնաժամը հաղթահարելու համար:  
Եգիպտոսի Ազգային խորհրդի՝ բնակչության հարցերով փորձագետ Թարիք Թաուֆիքը հայտարարել Է, որ մինչեւ 2030 թվականը երկրի բնակիչների թվաքանակը կարող Է կազմել 140 միլիոն:
Ներկայում, Եգիպտոսի մոբիլիզացման կենտրոնական գործակալության տվյալներով՝ երկրի բնակչության թվաքանակը կազմում Է 93 միլիոն: Արաբական հանրապետության բնակչությունը 1984 թվականից ավելացել Է կրկնակի, իսկ 1966 թվականից՝ եռակի:
Եգիպտոսի սոցիալական համերաշխության նախարար Հադա Վալիի խոսքով, որը մեջբերել Է «ալ-Մասրի ալ Յաում» հրատարակությունը, «եգիպտացիների մինչեւ 26 տոկոսն ապրում Է ծայրահեղ աղքատության պայմաններում», հաղորդել Է ՌԻԱ Նովոստին:
