Լեոնարդո դա Վինչին գյուտարար էր, գեղանկարիչ, քանդակագործ, ճարտարապետ, ով աներևակայելի հայտնագործություններ է արել:
Օդապարիկ
Դա Վինչին միշտ երազել է թռչելու մասին, այդ պատճառով էլ ողջ կյանքի ընթացքում պլաններ է մշակել իր երազանքն իրականություն դարձնելու համար: Վերջիվերջո, նրա գլխում միտք է հղանում օդապարիկ ստեղծելու մասին, որն իրենից ներկայացնում էր բրգաձև, փայտյա նախագիծ՝ վերևը ծածկված հատուկ կտորով: Վերջինիս նպատակը վայր իջնելիս մարդու արագությունը նվազեցնելն ու ապահով վայրէջք կատարելն էր: Դա Վինչին իր հայտնագործության մասին ասում էր, թե այն հնարավորություն կտա յուրաքանչյուրին ցած նետվելու ցանկացած բարձրությունից՝ առանց որևէ վնասվածք ստանալու:
Թռչող մեքենա
Թռչող մեքենա ստեղծելիս Լեոնարդոյի ոգեշնչման աղբյուրը տարատեսակ թռչուններն ու չղջիկներն էին: Օդաչուն պետք է պառկեր մեքենայի կենտրոնում և հատուկ ոտնակներ կրեր՝ դրանց միջոցով մեքենան կառավարելու համար: Այն թռչնի նման թևեր էր ունենալու: Սակայն այն ժամանակներում համապատասխան սարքավորումներ դեռևս չկային, որպեսզի նախագիծն իրականացվեր, և մեքենան թռչեր:
Զրահակիր ռոբոտ
Սարսափելի կլիներ, եթե Դա Վինչիի այս գյուտն իրականություն դառնար: Պատմության մեջ սա մարդ-ռոբոտի առաջին տեսակն է, որը կազմված էր մարմնից, անիվներից, ճոպաններից: Ըստ գտնված գծագրերի մնացորդների՝ այս ռոբոտը կկարողանար նստել, շարժվել, ինքնուրույն բարձրացնել սաղավարտը: Մարկ Ռոշեյմը ցանկանում էր իրականություն դարձնել այս նախագիծը և հինգ տարի շարունակ ուսումնասիրել է այն: 2002 թ. Մարկը սրա հիման վրա նոր ռոբոտ է ներկայացրել, որը կարողանում էր քայլել, ձեռքով անել:
Զրահավորված տանկ
Միլանի դքսի համար աշխատելու տարիներին դա Վինչին զրահավորված մեքենա է ստեղծել, որն ուներ 8 զինվորների կողմից կառավարվող 36 հրազեններ: Շատերը կմտածեն, որ այս մեքենան անպարտելի կլիներ, սակայն իրականում նախագիծն իր մեջ սխալ էր պարունակում: Անիվներն այնպես էին նախագծված, որ հակառակ էին շարժվում: Սակայն ըստ որոշ գիտնականների՝ այդ սխալը դիտմամբ էր արված, քանի որ Լեոնարդոն ցանկանում էր, որ միայն ինքն իմանա այդ մեխանիզմի աշխատելու իրական եղանակը:
