Վիլնյուսի «Պասակա» կինոթատրոնում մայիսի 25-ին ՀՀ դեսպանությունը կազմակերպել է «Խոստումը» ֆիլմի հատուկ դիտումը, որին մասնակցել են Լիտվայում հավատարմագրված դեսպաններ, բազմաթիվ դիվանագետներ, օրենսդիր և գործադիր իշխանությունների ներկայացուցիչներ, լրագրողներ, մշակութային գործիչներ, հայ համայնքի ներկայացուցիչներ:

Ֆիլմի ցուցադրումից առաջ Լիտվայում ՀՀ դեսպան Տիգրան Մկրտչյանը նշել է, որ առաջին անգամ է Հոլիվուդում նկարահանվում Հայոց ցեղասպանությանը նվիրված ֆիլմ, քանի որ բոլոր նախկին փորձերը Թուրքիայի իշխանությունների ճնշումների ներքո հաջողություն չեն ունեցել։ Եվ ուստի ռեժիսյոր Թերի Ջորջը և բոլոր նրանք, ովքեր ներգրավված են եղել ֆիլմարտադրության մեջ, հանդես են բերել դրվատանքի արժանի խիզախություն։

Դեսպանի խոսքով՝ «այնուամենայնիվ, այս ֆիլմը միայն անցյալի մասին չէ»։ «Այն նաև մեր ներկային է վերաբերվում։ Այն չարիքին դիմադրելու, եղբայրասիրության և անմնացորդ սիրո մասին է։ Ֆիլմի հիմնական սաունդթրեքը հենց դրանց մասին է խոսում»,- ասել է Մկրտչյանը։ Դեսպանը հավելել է, որ «պատմությունն ապացուցեց, որ ի հեճուկս Ադոլֆ Հիտլերի հաճախ մեջբերվող գնահատականին առ այն, թե «ո՞վ է այսօր հիշում հայերի բնաջնջումը», այսօր պետք է ասել, որ ամբողջ աշխարհն է հիշում այն»։ Ցեղասպանության հիշատակումը և ճանաչումը առաջ են մղվում կրթության միջոցով։ Եվ արվեստը, ներառյալ կինեմատոգրաֆիան, էական նշանակություն ունի ճանաչողության բարձրացման հարցում։
