Մահացել է այն ճապոնուհին, որն առաջինն էր հայտնել Հիրոսիմայի ռմբակոծության մասին

Ճապոնուհի Յոսիմե Օկան, որն առաջինն է հայտնել Հիրոսիմայի ռմբակոծության մասին, մահացել է 87 տարեկանում չարորակ լիմֆոմայի պատճառով։ ՏԱՍՍ-ի փոխանցմամբ, նա մահացել է մայիսի 19-ին, սակայն այդ մասին միայն հիմա է հայտնի դարձել։
1945-ին 14-ամյա Օկային ուղարկել են ռազմական հրամանատարության տեղական կենտրոն՝ կապն ապահովող ստորաբաժանման մեջ ծառայություն անցնելու։ Ամերիկյան ռմբակոծությունից անմիջապես հետո հենց նա է կապվել վերադաս ղեկավարության հետ։ «Հիրոսիմայի վրա հարձակվել են նոր տեսակի ռումբով։ Քաղաքը մոտ է ամբողջական ավերման վիճակին»,- հիշում է նա՝ հարցազրույցներից մեկում իր տված հաշվետվությունը։
Իր հուշագրերում Օկան հիշում է, որ ռումբի ընկնելուց հետո ինքը դուրս է եկել փողոց ու տեսել վիրավորված զինվորին։ Հենց նա է պատմել, որ խոցվել է նոր տեսակի ռումբով, ինչի մաին Օկան հատուկ հեռախոսով հայտնել է բունկերից կապի կայանին։
Ամբողջ կյանքում նա տառապում էր ռադիացիոն ճառագայթման հետեւանքներից։ Նա ակտիվ զբաղվում էր անմեղ մարդկանց տառապանքների ու միջուկային զենքի կիրառման հետեւանքների մասին պատմելով։
Հիրոսիմայի ու Նագասակիի ատոմային ռմբակոծությունները իրականացվել են ԱՄՆ զինված ուժերի կողմից Երկրորդ համաշխարհային պատերազմի վերջում՝ Ճապոնական կայսրության կապիտուլացիան արագացնելու պաշտոնական նպատակով։ Այդ հարձակումները մարդկության պատմության մեջ միջուկային զենքի կիրառման միակ օրինակներն են։
